Route 3 (Japanese: 3番道路 Route 3) is a route in central Galar that connects Motostoke to Galar Mine.

Route description

Route 3 is a single long road stretching west of Motostoke, with an intersection in the middle that splits into two before joining back to a single path. An inaccessible path to the north leads to a processing plant that produces energy from the materials mined at the nearby Galar Mine, which the route connects to at the northern end. Near the northern end is also a Pokémon Camp. A woman next to the Galar Mine entrance will fully heal the player's Pokémon if talked to. A secluded cliff on this route can be accessed from within the mine.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series

Route 3 appeared in The Lonely Hatenna. While making their way to the Galar Mine, Liko, Roy, and Friede got caught in a heavy rainstorm and sought shelter in a mountain hut, where they found a Hatenna. Getting the sensation that Hatenna wasn't feeling right, Liko brought the Calm Pokémon with her to the Brave Olivine. The next day, the group returned to the hut to let Hatenna go. However, having bonded with Liko during her stay at the airship, Hatenna chose to stay with her and let herself be caught by her.

Sword & Shield arc

Route 3 appeared in Watch Out!! Strong Rivals, where Henry, Casey, Marvin, and Sonia passed through it while on their way to Turffield. When they arrived at the entrance to the Galar Mine, they encountered Hop, Bede, and Marnie, who had been forced to stop there by a boulder blocking the entrance. With their combined teamwork, the boulder was moved out of the way, although Bede stayed behind to break it with his Hatenna's Psychic powers and search for Wishing Stars from the resulting rubble.
