Release information

This card was included in the Obsidian Flames expansion, first released in the Japanese Water Greninja ex Start Deck. In Japan, it was reprinted as an SV-P Promotional card as part of a collaboration with the NAKANO STYLING TANTO line of hair products. Eight specially-branded NAKANO STYLING TANTO × Pokémon Card Game hair products were released on August 1, 2023; each purchase included a Promo Card Pack that contained one of eight possible pairs of Pokémon and Basic Energy cards featuring the "NAKANO STYLING TANTO" logo. Froakie cards were always paired with Basic Water Energy cards.[1] Outside Asia, a Cosmos Holofoil version was made available in the Shrouded Fable Greninja ex Special Illustration Collection from August 2, 2024.
