My name is Michael Robert Tremblay, and I'm running as a candidate for state treasurer. I have lived in West Virginia since I was an infant, and love my state. There's really nowhere else like it. That being said, our state is long overdue for having elected officials who actually care about the state. Voters need to be presented with choices of normal people for office, not just upper class elites. I am running for Treasurer mainly because without the option of a write in, voters will only have one candidate on the ballot. This candidate is a career politician, and while he will most likely win the election, I believe voters deserve an option for a regular citizen. I'll be up front: I'm in my 20's, I work at an auto parts store, and I drive a 16 year old Grand Marquis. I know what it's like to struggle, I know what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck, and I know what it's like to eat soup out of a can with fork. I know I won't win, but I hope to send a message to those in power: listen to your citizens, and take their concerns seriously. We The People have the power to replace these officials if they stop doing their job, and we will act accordingly.

  • We need everyday citizens in government, not career politicians
  • We deserve multiple choices for a office that will have a new incumbent
  • It's time to send a message to our government: the people of West Virginia should come first, not corporate interests, lobbyists, and the top 1%

I'm very interested in election statistics, ballot access laws, and voting systems. This is fueled by my interest in seeing more choice for candidates.

I believe it paints an important message about responsibility and choice, pointing out that true freedom may require risks, but it's ultimately up to individuals what they decide to do.

Free thought, and admitting that I don't know everything. I'm more than willing to receive input on important matters

We need to know what's being down with all taxpayer dollars, so a Treasurer should be as transparent as possible

Call of the Wild, I've enjoyed it since I was young, and I love Jack London's storytelling
