Jay Bradford (b. April 30, 1940) is the former Arkansas Commissioner of Insurance.[1] He was appointed by Governor Mike Beebe on January 15, 2009. Bradford served in office until he was replaced by Allen Kerr in January 2015.[2]

Biography

Bradford is a Certified Insurance Counselor (C.I.C.).[3] He has served as co-chair of the Arkansas Child Abuse, Rape, and Domestic Violence Commission.[4]

Political career

Arkansas Commissioner of Insurance (2009-2015)

Bradford was appointed by Governor Mike Beebe on January 15, 2009. He served until he was replaced by Allen Kerr in January 2015.[2]

Department of Human Services (2007-2009)

Before becoming commissioner, Bradford served for two years as director of the Behavioral Health Services division in the Arkansas Department of Human Services.[4]

Arkansas State Senate (2000-2007)

From 2000 to 2007, Bradford held a seat in the Arkansas State Senate and served as president pro tempore of the state senate.[4]

Arkansas House of Representatives (1983-1999)
