Arconti (Democratic Party, Working Families Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 109. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Governor Ned Lamont (D) appointed Arconti to the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority on July 25, 2024, to replace John Betkoski, III. Arconti was appointed in an interim capacity while the General Assembly considered his confirmation and Betkoski finished his term.[1]
Biography
David Arconti was born in Danbury, Connecticut. He graduated from Danbury High School and earned a B.S. in public health from Southern Connecticut State University. Arconti’s career experience includes working as a health policy intern with the Connecticut General Assembly. He has volunteered with the Danbury Police Athletics League, which describes itself as, “[enabling] and [inspiring] youth from the Greater Danbury Community to have fun, stay active, and develop character-building skills through recreational activities in a healthy and safe environment.”[2][3]

Elections for the Connecticut House of Representatives consisted of a primary election on August 12, 2014, and a general election on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Incumbent David Arconti, Jr. was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Josh Stanley was unopposed in the Republican primary. Arconti defeated Stanley in the general election.[6][7]
