Biography
Brandon Guffey was born in York, South Carolina, and lives in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Guffey graduated from Northwestern High School in 1998. His career experience includes owning and working as the president of 360 HVAC.[1][2][3]

A native of Rock Hill South Carolina and small business owner. Served on York County Council District 6 from 2021-2022. Conservative that has been married since 2003 with three sons. Former Youth Soccer Coach. Strong supporter for less government and advocate for mental health reform in South Carolina. Graduate of a local high school and attended a Technical College in Rock Hill. Beliefs: Judicial Reform, Parental Control Education, Pro Life, Pro 2nd Amendment, Transparency, Ethics reform, and advocate for Term Limits across the board. Signed the Palmetto Police Protection Pledge. Endorsed by the NRA. Endorsed by Carolina Association of Realtors.

- Judicial reform. I believe the state of South Carolina must stay above reproach when it comes to our appointment of judges. The way SC currently appoints antiquated. We are one of two states(Virginia) that the legislature controls both the nominating and appointment process of state judges. We are one of two states (Tennessee) with a judicial nominating committee appointed solely by the legislature. When you have members of the legislature that appear before these judges as defense attorneys, that is an ethical violation in my opinion. I believe that we could look at other options such as choosing through partisan elections
- Pro Life- as a child that was raised by a teenage mother, I am very aware of the hardships of having a child as a teen. I am aware that there are horrible situations that exist and believe in always protecting life. That includes the life of the mother and child. Abortion should never be used as a form of birth control and we must stand for life. Without life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness are meaningless.
- Mental Health reform- SC prisons are filled with many people that struggle with mental health. Many of those addicted to drugs struggle with mental health. A large majority of our homeless population struggles with mental health. We as South Carolinians can and should do better about addressing a major problem that is impacting the lives of many of our citizens. I personally believe our teens and our veterans are at extreme risk without much focus being put towards resources for them. Mental health is Health. Our state has seen tragedies such as mass shootings, suicide, substance abuse, neglect, and homelessness due to our ignoring the problem for decades. It is time that we address the elephant in the room.
I believe we have too much Government Overreach. I want less Government and more Freedom.
