Biography

Amy Lloyd graduated from Worthington Kilbourne High School in 1996. She earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from Kent State University in 2000. Lloyd's career experience includes working in architecture and construction, and she is an accredited professional with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Lloyd was appointed to the City of Worthington Architectural Review Board in 2008.[1]

Three of five seats on the Worthington Schools Board of Education in Ohio were up for at-large general election on November 7, 2017. All three incumbents filed to retain their seats. Incumbents Jennifer Hitt Best and Sam Shim and newcomer Nikki Hudson defeated incumbent Marc Schare and newcomers P.R. Casey, William Scott Ebright, and Amy Lloyd.[2][3]

As a school district, there are many challenges from student testing to decreasing funding to aging facilities.

Amy has experience working at the state level and has insight into many different aspects that could help our school district through some of our current and future challenges.

Is there anything you would like to add?

Parent - Amy and her husband Josh have three children attending Worthington Schools in Fall 2019 (8th, 6th, and kindergarten).
Resident - Worthington School District within the City of Worthington. Amy is a graduate of Worthington Schools.
Professional - Amy worked for the Ohio School Facilities Commission for nearly five years. She has a Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University and has worked with school districts through planning and building for the future.
Volunteer - Amy volunteers her time with the City of Worthington, Worthington Schools, All Saints Lutheran Church and Worthington Girl Scouts.[4]
