Adobe Systemsは米国時間6月2日、「BrowserLab」の無償プレビュー版を公開した。ウェブ開発者はこのサービスを利用して、自分が開発したウェブサイトが複数のウェブブラウザでどのように見えるのかをテストできる。 BrowserLabはこれまで「Meer Meer」という開発コード名で呼ばれており、2008年にAdobeが開催した開発者向けカンファレンス「Adobe Max」で最初に披露された。仮想化技術を利用し、さまざまなOS上で動く「Firefox」「Internet Explorer」「Safari」でウェブサイトがどのように表示されるかをテストできる。BrowserLabを動かすには、「Adobe Flash 10」を搭載したMacもしくはWindowsが必要となる。 AdobeのLea Hickman氏は声明で、「クロスブラウザテストは骨が折れるし時間がかかる作業であ
