maybe im terminally porn brained or whatever but i have literally never, ever wished a man and woman in a piece of media had a ‘more platonic’ relationship like not once, ever. i don’t find platonic relationships to be inherently more morally pure or well-written, i don’t think the absence of romance or sex automatically makes a story more deep or well-paced, and while i understand the desire for more representation where men and women are just friends with zero 'will they, won’t they’ bullshit, it’s not something that personally really appeals to me.
