Egg packing company Dava Foods Finland has recalled a batch of eggs due to a salmonella contamination risk.
The company said it detected salmonella bacteria in a batch of eggs sold by three supermarket operators in the country.
The recall applies to eggs with the codes 2FI634322 or 2FI634327 printed on the shells.
The batches of eggs have been sold at supermarkets operated by S Group, Kesko and Pick N Pay, which has three shops in the Satakunta region.
The recall includes the following products:
- Kultamuna Vapaa S/M18, carton EAN barcode 6431000000808 Best by date: 17.3.
- Kultamuna Vapaa S/M10, carton EAN barcode 6431003105302 Best by date: 6.3. or 17.3.
- Kultamuna Vapaa M/L15, carton EAN barcode 6431003159459 Best by date: 6.3. Or 17.3.
- Kultamuna Vapaa XL6, carton EAN barcode 6431005064683 Best by date: 17.3.
- Kotimaista Vapaa M10, carton EAN barcode 6414893094918 Best by date: 6.3. or 17.3. Packaged by: Dava Foods Finland
- Kotimaista Vapaa L15, carton EAN barcode 6438460328329 Best by date: 6.3. or 17.3. Packaged by: Dava Foods Finland
Dava Foods advised consumers who bought the affected products to throw them away or return them to the store where they were purchased.
The company noted that the affected eggs would be safe to consume after cooking.
