Finnish band KAJ has secured a spot in the final of Sweden’s Melodifestivalen, the national selection for Eurovision. The group qualified through the fourth semi-final held in Malmö on Saturday night.
Originally from Finland's Swedish-speaking community of Vörå, Ostrobothnia, KAJ competed with Bara bada bastu — which loosely translates to Let’s just sauna.
The other finalist from the semi-final was Eurovision 2015 winner Måns Zelmerlöw with his song Revolution.
Melodifestivalen will conclude with the grand final on 8 March, where Sweden’s Eurovision representative will be chosen.
KAJ, often described as a comedy band, consists of Jakob Norrgård, Axel Åhman and Kevin Holmström. Known for performing in their Ostrobothnian dialect of Swedish, their competition entry is a playful tribute to the joys of sauna.
Melodifestivalen is available to stream on Yle Areena.
