Head empty just. Robotnik coming back and seeing Stone (who has reopened the Mean Bean, just to have something to do) be happy from afar. Stone's talking to some woman, and smiling and just. Happy. Robotnik doesn't want to take that from him. Hell, he doesn't even know if Stone would want to see him ever again, if he mourned and moved on. So he leaves without ever telling Stone he was there, that he's alive.

Little does he know, the woman was Stone's long lost half sister, and he was telling her all about his lost love, the insane, incredible genius he used to work for, who he pinned after but never told about his feelings.
