Yay! Thanks for asking!!

To me, their relationship isn't completely impossible, but surely some problems might occur (and I'm not even talking about Noct’s fate rn). Since Ignis was forced into the caretaker role and he was basically raising Noct his whole life, I can't see them developing romantic feelings (when you have someone acting like a child you have to babysit it's pretty hard to love them the same, parent/child dynamic is definitely not for me). 

Although I see the appeal (the doomed yaoi hell yeah), and Ignis clearly loves Noctis very much despite it all - he would burn the world for him and he is ready to sacrifice his own life for that. I'm not so sure about Noctis tho - in the beginning he kinda takes Iggy’s care for granted. But even then these two absolutely can't live without each other and that is clear as day.

But yeah those are basically my thoughts <3
