hi here's a belated introduction to my blog

you can call me morena (im in the process of changing that name. i change names a lot). im non-binary TMA, currently going by she/they. im a learning communist from nepal and am studying juche (i am not a maoist just for the record since people familiar with nepal sometimes assume i am)

i post about politics, anime, nepal and whatever im obsessed with at the moment. i am a computer science student and in a lot of debt so im unable to donate but i will do my best to boost fundraising posts. haven't really been organized with tagging posts but here's some where ive tried-

absolutely agree, nothing outrightly malicious about

  • starting a war on false pretenses that led to the deaths of 500k people
  • instituting a state-sanctioned torture program for foreign prisoners held for years without charge
  • spearheading the patriot act and expanding the domestic surveillance powers of the federal government
  • spending $700b to prop up the american financial sector during the subprime loan crisis, a move for which exactly one (1) banker was put to trial for
  • letting the city of new orleans drown

just a guy trying to do his best. who among us would not have done the same

Apple propaganda notwithstanding, the reason tower PCs are big isn’t because they’re outdated. The reason tower PCs are so bulky is because they’re designed to be user serviceable. The case has lots of open space so your big, meaty hands can easily access all of the components, and everything is secured with friction-fit tabs and standard machine screws to minimise the need for specialised tools. A properly laid out tower PC is fully serviceable with a single Phillips-head screwdriver and no greater manual skill than your average Lego playset – heck, for some of the more modern case layouts you don’t even need the screwdriver, unless you’re performing major surgery like a full motherboard replacement.

Like, think about who benefits from convincing you that a fully modular computing device that can be serviced and repaired with your bare hands and minimal technical skill is unfashionable.
