the Abbotsford Canucks just acquired Surrey native Jujhar Khaira from the Syracuse Crunch (Tampa Bay’s AHL affiliate), which means that all four players of Punjabi descent who have played a game in the NHL will have played for the Canucks organization!
three out of four of those players are from B.C. - Robin Bawa, Khaira, and Bains :)
