Day 3 - Modern/The Danced-Out Shoes - Acechiji

(based on the playlist I made)

Rich boy Ichiji is dragged to a beach party by his siblings (organized by Sanji's friends).

There, he meets Ace, with whom he dances all night once the beach party moves to the near beach-side disco.

When it is time for him to leave, Ace tells him about a disco he frequents and the time he usually arrives.

Ichiji is hesitant at first, but after his siblings give him a little push, he decides to go. Ace is there, and they spend the night together (mostly dancing).

This repeats again and again, with Ichiji going out at night to see Ace, have fun and enjoy the freedom.

Obv, they fall in love and start dating in secret.

Day 2 - Nordic/The maiden in the tower - Yonbo

Sabo gets separated from his party and gets lost during a hunt. With night and a snowstorm approaching, he looks for shelter. He finds a tower, but finding no entrance, he climbs the vines that have grown on the stone.

There, he finds a young man (no long hair), Yonji, who is both excited and hesitant. Sabo spends the night there. When he leaves the next morning (before there's enough light to see the man and the room fully) he promises to come back. He misses the shackle on the man's ankle, and the man doesn't mention it either.

Yonji is a demigod, captured and locked away since he was young when his father's kingdom fell; all his escape attempts have been in vain and at this point, he's given up on his freedom and ever knowing what befell his siblings.

Sabo does come back; he's very curious about Yonji, who is 1) in a tower without an obvious way out and 2) obviously hiding sth.

Yonji is hiding his true identity and his status as a prisoner. After all, what little humam he's had ends up with vitriol in his direction, plus being abandoned.

It's a good thing Sabo is observant and smart, and it's not that hard to make Yonji spill the beans. Sabo is appalled to learn that Yonji has been in that tower for most of his life, having been locked in there when he was still just a child, away from freedom and his siblings, forced to pay for his father's crimes.

Obv, Sabo does end up freeing Yonji and taking him home (and helping him see the world and find his siblings)

Day 1 - Western/The Dragon slayer - Acechiji

Ace arrives at a new town and decides to stay some days doing some miscellaneous work.

There, he meets Ichiji, a fellow traveler doing miscellaneous work while passing by.

Interested in each other and end up staying longer than intended, growing closer and closer until a dragon arrives and takes Ichiji away. So Ace goes to the rescue.

The dragon is Judge, he's been hunting down his runaway children, and Ichiji's long stay at that town helped him.

Alright, I just need to finish two more pieces and I'll be ready for this year's Vinsmoke Shipping Week

my chinese teacher showed us a song about a shepherd that goes to do his thing (go shepherd in the mountains, where could stay alone for long periods of time, like, more than a couple of days) and in a part sees a girl and goes "If you wanna be my girl wave your hand and if not then go on your way"

and my brain went acechiji

where they're from neighbouring towns and since ASL have been shepherds their whole lives so they know a lot of people from other nearby towns, and one they always pass by is the one where the vinsibs are (Judge is not in the picture, Sora took them away again) so Ace and Ichiji have known each other for a long time and have had this kinda childhood sweethearts everyone knows they're for each other kinda romance and I was picturing Ace shepherding in the mountain and sees Ichiji walk by in the distance so he stands and yells that at him maybe they're already together and Ichiji does wave back at him

but to the beginning, mountainside town shepherd Ace and maybe waiter Ichiji (works at Zeff's)

The townspeople have seen them grow up and have seen their relationship develop; they're like "yeah. They're getting married, these lovebirds have only ever had eyes for each other despite their many suitors"

and then Judge happens

Ace returns one day, right before they're to be married, and finds out that Ichiji was taken away by Judge

he would've taken the others if they had been in town (they were doing stuff outside of the town) Judge is a powerful man, and he arrives with some of his soldiers he first takes Ichiji by force and Ichiji makes sure to loudly swear to kill himself at the first given opportunity so Judge threatens to destroy the town and kill everyone (second part implied) so Ichiji promises to behave as long as he leaves the townsfolk alone he says his goodbye to Zeff, telling him to apologise to the others for him and especially to Ace with the extra of "I was looking forward to growing old by your side, but it seems that won't be possible anymore. No matter what happens now, remember that my heart is forever yours."

they also manage to send someone(s) to tell the other vinsibs about what's happened so they can go into hiding and protect themselves

Ace is excited as he makes his way back home, wanting to see Ichiji, so happy is he that it takes him a little while to realise that everyone in town seems so down and noone is approaching him to tell him what happened either, too heartbroken until he finally goes to Zeff to ask him about Ichiji and the old man tells him everything delivering Ichiji's message giving him back one of the oldest gifts he had given Ichiji, which Ichiji had secretly been keeping on himself all this time

obv, Ace has to go after him he only knows who to ask about because Judge loudly announced his title he meets Deuce in the first city he stumbles upon, they become kinda friends after Ace defends him from some bullies and they share a meal, and Deuce takes the opportunity to finally run away from home, Deuce makes of diplomat for him, he has more experience with city life and dealing with that type of people, as well as more knowleadgble of the general geography they meet more people and make more friends on their journey, with everyone being swayed by Ace's story yeah, I'm lowkey going folkstory style next they meet Yamato, the son of a very important general who lives in the same city and knows Judge yet to decide how they meet him Yamato helps them meet up with Judge who, after hearing Ace's "nonsense", throws them out and threatens them and in comes Otama, who works at Judge's manor, to help them sneak in and meet Ichiji

Ichiji is elated for a minute before worry takes over Ace should not be there and he can't go with Ace

and their reuntion is interrupted by an approaching soldier sent by Judge to call for Ichiji (who whenever questioned insists that he hasn't seen his brothers in years and has no idea where they are)

Ace manages to hide before being seen and, with his new friends, leaves, ready to start making plans to free Ichijii

Yamato, being like, we could go ask the Emperor for help, he's my bro, I'm sure he'll help

I need Yamato to be adopted by the Kosukis, so I'm making them sworn siblings this time

Deuce: Couldn't you have told us that from the beginning!?? This could have saved us so much trouble!

The Emperor isn't much help in the end, not at the moment ofc Judge hasn't committed any crime,s so he can't restrain him, and Ichiji isn't letting himself be helped either, even if he sent Ichiji to have a post at his hometown, he would still be under Judge's control

except Judge has been committing and planning crimes, they just gotta uncover them and take the proof to the Emperor (Momo)

he's been planning a coup with Kaido

it's time for Ace and co to use their connections and investigate, so time passes with Ace continuously sneaking in to meet up with Ichiji, who insists that he needs to leave and forget about him, and yet, Ichiji keeps on hugging him tightly, afraid to let go

one day, Judge takes Ichiji to his reunion with Kaido, making it clear to him that if he lets any of this slip to anyone, they will all be dead, including Ichiji

and that Judge will make sure to drag down all the people he cares about with them, especially that dirty shepherd who has made himself at home in their city

I'm not sure yet how they'll uncover all this and bring it to the Emperor, but it isn't because of Ichiji, who is shocked when imperial soldiers break into Judge's house to take them to prison to wait to be formally judged and sentenced

Ace is appalled that Ichiji was imprisoned, but it's something they have to do

when the day comes, Ichiji is pretty down, sure that he's doomed, and he isn't even sure if the people he cares about are and will be safe and when he sees Ace amongst the people, he can't help but look away in shame

Kaido and Judge are deemed guilty, and Ichiji is sure that it's going to be the same for him until his friends and family are taken to the stand and they explain everything about how he was threatened and all that

he's deemed innocent and finally, publicly, reunites with Ace

free of shackles, he runs into Ace's embrace

and I think that's all, for now

So I tried to draw all the Spades (sans their Captain)

I based them mostly on the sketches we've seen + a little help from what little we see of them in the Wano Flashbacks

So I already Cowboyfied Ace, Deuce, Banshee, Skill, Cornelia and Saber And I'm very tempted to do them all but I'm not sure who to do next Maybe Kotatsu, Mihal, Wallace...and some 3 more? Probably Aggie 68
