Twitter fucking sucks lol.
I know this probably isn't very interesting to anyone else but like, do you see what I mean about this group chat and why it pisses me off?
Becky isn't drunk, that's just how she always types. Deb complains about other managers not being professional in the group chat but then communicates via gif. It's just insane.
I'm sorry I complain about work so much. I'm not going to stop or anything, but I am sorry lol.
Becky also just responded with a gif.
They're constantly talking like, our store doesn't make money. That's what they say, we make no money operating our store. Bullshit. The franchise owner would close the store if it was not turning a profit. Maybe the profit isn't what you want it to be, but we're making money.
Second of all, they complain about money over the dumbest shit. They're order like 100 racks of Whopper buns and then have to throw like 20-30 racks away every 2-3 months for some reason nobody seems to be able to figure out. But we use black scratch pads to clean the broiler parts, but they will ration and hide them because supposedly we were using too many. They come like 20 or 30 in a box and they cost $7 a box.
One week we had no degreaser because Becky said we used too much so she wasn't buying anymore. It's a fast food restaurant, we need degreaser to clean. I mean, I can just not clean shit. That's fine with me, I don't care. It's your restaurant. But if you want things clean, you have to suck it up and buy degreaser. I'm sorry.
The newest thing that they're complaining about is the equipment running 24/7 with us going 24 hours. So on overnight we have to alternate turning off different things to try and give them a break for a few hours.
I don't know that much about kitchen equipment, so maybe I'm wrong. But I just don't see like a 4 hour break when it's running the other 20 hours making all that much of a difference.
But either way, part of operating the store 24 hours instead of closing is you are going to have to service (or even replace) your equipment more often. That is going to happen. You cannot avoid it. The tradeoff though, is, you make more money. Invest some of that extra money into buying better equipment or servicing your current equipment and this isn't a problem.
That would affect Becky's and Deb's bonuses though, which we obviously can not have happen.
