Shady Billing Practices & No Refunds!

I explicitly requested to cancel my subscription, yet Wix still charged me. Their terms were not clearly explained, and now they refuse to refund me despite their mistake. Customer service was completely unhelpful, giving me the runaround instead of resolving the issue.

It feels like they are deliberately making cancellations difficult to trap users into unwanted charges. Beware of their unfair billing practices! I would never recommend Wix to anyone – stay away and choose a more transparent provider.

Refund available where it previously was not

The customer service representative took care of my questions quickly and with better results than I could have hoped for. Even with the agreement in place in black and white they will still cross their own lines in order to help and leave me with a great experience. They have kept their word

Wix Took My Money For Nothing

I purchased a website from Wix.com Ltd. I tried to get my website active on the Internet with the SEO by making a special connection with Google. I started by doing that myself manually by following the instructions. I couldn't do it because I was having trouble.
So l decided to get support which was on the company website builder that was hard to find. There was no instruction to find support, and frankly the site was too involved. I had to have a brief text conversation with a chatbot
before I was finally connected to Raven at Wix Customer Care. We went over a number of technical options to connect the site that just didn't work. Raven was so slow along with putting me on hold too long.
Approximately, we started at the 10:00 a.m. hour, and we ended our session after 1:00 p.m. In the last hour, Raven started getting impudent by telling me that if I didn't respond after five minutes that Raven would end the conversation, and I was just trying to use Raven's useless steps. I even told Raven twice that I wanted to quit, and get a refund. But, Raven was ignorant and dismissive about it. At the end Raven decided to end the conversation. So I was left with a website that couldn't even be
accessed on the Internet, and it was no good. I tried to cancel the plan and get a refund, because I had one day left. I could only do that by pressing the option on a drop-down menu. I tried that a number of times and it kept vanishing. By the way, Wix took $368.15.

We subscribed to the Elite Premium Plan…

We subscribed to the Elite Premium Plan based on Wix Support’s recommendation, believing it would resolve a technical issue preventing our courses from displaying correctly on our Wix mobile app. Despite upgrading, the problem persists, and our business has suffered significant financial losses as a result.


To summarise:

We uploaded 33 courses, but only 14 remained visible the next day.

We re-uploaded the missing courses, but the issue repeated itself.

Wix Support advised us to upgrade to the Elite Premium Plan, which we did, yet the issue remained unresolved. at considerable cost.

We provided video evidence to a support agent, Ellie, who assured us the matter would be escalated. However, we have not received any response despite waiting for since November 2024

Now, the AI chat assistant prevents us from reaching a live support representative, leaving us without any means to resolve this issue.

This issue was first reported on 25th November 2024, and despite our patience and efforts, we are still without a resolution as of today, 28th January 2025 (paying for a service that we ar not using). Given the significant disruption to our business and the lack of meaningful assistance, I would like to know if you can personally ensure this matter is addressed immediately—or whether we should simply proceed with requesting a full refund for the Elite Premium Plan.

I am extremely disappointed with this experience, as I had higher expectations from Wix. Please advise on how you intend to resolve this matter, as we cannot afford further delays.

The latest person dealing with this issue Gabriel, clearly can't read the support ticket and acting like AI BOT. I want my money back as I paid over £1000 for a service that does not work. Cowboys

Only reason I gave 2 stars is because…

Only reason I gave 2 stars is because the refund for my package free trial was refunded quickly. Unfortunately they r holding my domain hostage until March and if I cancel, I get no refund. Too many template options, too much information, not enough help, and when u buy it plan, expect to spend WAY more than what’s expected. I tried them because they were supposed to be the best for small businesses, but I’ve talked to several others and none of them have been happy with Wix and have cancelled. If u don’t have mass amounts of money to spend, I wouldn’t waste ur money here.

Give Wix a Shot! You might be suprised.

Wix is amazing y'all. Super user-friendly to use if you're looking to build a website and have a similar UX as other apps, etc. They make it user-friendly. The refund was delayed, but they do offer to support your questions. Thank you, Wix. Wishing you the best

I’ve had a very disappointing…

I’ve had a very disappointing experience with Wix. Despite initially finding their website builder easy to use, I’ve encountered several issues that have left me frustrated.

First, I was charged for a subscription renewal I didn’t authorize. I had no intention of continuing the service, but Wix automatically renewed my plan without clear notification. When I reached out to their customer service for a refund, I was told they have a strict no-refund policy, which feels unfair and inflexible.

Second, their customer service was unhelpful and slow to respond. I spent hours trying to resolve the issue, only to be met with generic responses and no real solution. It’s clear that their priority isn’t customer satisfaction.

Lastly, canceling my subscription was unnecessarily complicated. Even after canceling, I was charged again, and resolving this issue took even more time and effort.

Overall, I cannot recommend Wix due to their poor billing practices, lack of customer support, and refusal to issue refunds. If you’re considering using Wix, be very cautious and read the fine print to avoid similar issues.

Great Experience with Easy-to-Use Platform and Excellent Support

I'm a total newbie to website building, and I've been having a pretty fun time using Wix so far. The platform is super easy to navigate, and the customer support is fantastic. I had a chat with with a representative regarding a refund, and they were incredibly friendly and quick to help. They resolved everything smoothly, and the whole process was completely hassle-free. I really appreciate the fast response and great service. Highly recommend!

Wix is hands down one of the worst…

Wix is hands down one of the worst platforms for small businesses. Their hidden fees, deceptive billing practices, and useless customer support make it clear they don’t care about their customers—just their bottom line.
1. I Was Charged $500 for an App I Never Approved – I signed up for a free app, only to be auto-enrolled into an expensive $500 renewal without my consent. No warnings, no confirmation—just a massive charge on my account.
2. Auto-Renewal Traps & No Refund Policy – When I reached out to Wix support, they gave me zero options for a refund and just pointed to their policy. Their refund window is a joke, and they bank on people missing it.
3. Horrible Customer Support – When I tried to resolve this, I got copy-paste responses from bots and unhelpful agents who just shuffled me around. They even admitted the charge was from an auto-renewal I didn’t approve, yet refused to refund me.
4. Overpriced & Misleading – Wix nickel-and-dimes you for every little feature, while better platforms like SiteGround and WordPress offer more control, better pricing, and actual customer support.

If you’re thinking about using Wix for your business, DON’T DO IT. They will trap you in expensive renewals and refuse to make things right. I’m moving my website elsewhere and warning others—learn from my mistake!

Poor customer service

Still having issues getting a proper refund from six. They auto charged for a 3 year plan $756, before the plan went into effect I changed to a cheaper plan 4428. A day later I got the offer to reinstate the previous plan for half off of $756 which is $378. This was done before the previous plan even ended. I am still waiting for the proper reimbursement and wix has been not helpful at all.

Wix is a wonderful site with great customer support!

Wix is a wonderful site, I’m very pleased with the tools they offer! I am currently in some financial struggles so when my plan auto renewed i absolutely panicked as I did not have the funds for wix right now. I spoke with two wonderful people there for helped me out of this jam, Lexiee was especially helpful 🥹 she helped approve my refund! I’m unbelievably grateful for her help!! I will absolutely reactive my website in the future when finances are more stable!

Awful customer service and misleading wording on their plans- ZERO refunds

Worst small print and customer support ever. Ive just been charged £360 for the business premium plan. When i applied for the business plan there were two important bits of important they write: firstly, it costs £36 per month (not a lump sum). I did not want to pay a lump sum. Secondly, they state they have a 14 day refund policy. When i quickly go to my WIX account and cancel it & ask for a refund they then state that for business premium plans the refund policy doesnt apply.

It is simply predatory and unacceptable to mislead clients in this way.

This is a horrible way to go for a…

This is a horrible way to go for a site! I tried to get my WIX Studio Site to update with my original WIX Premium Plan, and I was not only told I could not, but that I would need to purchase a new plan and I cannot receive a refund for the Premium Plan because I had a little over 6 weeks left on it. Why do you have a WIX Studio and a "WIX" website development on the same platform if they're different? The fact that I was told by multiple other agents something different regarding this policy is unbelievable! WIX is trash! Go WordPress!

Hi I signed up with Wix December 24

Hi I signed up with Wix December 24, 2024 and worked hard at figuring out how to make it work for me. I then received an email yesterday January 22, 2025 saying I had all kinds of problems with my website and unless I hired a Wix tech they would shut my website down. I asked how much it was going to cost to fix the errors and was told it would start at 150$ US without a guarantee it would fix the problems. What a scam. I asked for a refund and was told because it was past the 14 days no refund would be offered. I signed up for a year, it hasn’t been a month and I don’t even get a portion of my money back. What a terrible company and experience. Buyer beware!!!

I've had an ongoing issue for nearly a year, after having to be on hold and for up to 45 mins each time and speaking to 3 different WIX 'experts', matter was finally resolved,

No refund or complaints procedure.

The worst customer service I’ve ever…

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’ve now received responses from two separate Wix employees who were extremely rude and condescending. I was charged incorrectly for a Wix membership for two years worth of subscriptions. I immediately reached out to Wix support to receive a refund and was told I’d receive a RESPONSE in 20 days. I then spoke with a customer service professional who assured me my refund would be sent by the end of the month. It’s been 5 weeks and every time I reach out to someone they say my refund is still being “investigated” even though my website is currently not active. They’re deducting bank reversal fees from the amount and I’m not even using the service. Opening a case with the Better Business Bureau now, this cannot be legal

Worst Customer Service and Hosting Policy's

Wix provides some of the worst customer service I've ever encountered. There’s no longer a support hotline, and it often takes days or even weeks to get a response. When you finally do hear back, the answers rarely address your issues. Additionally, Wix has drastically increased its fees without any clear warning. They claim, "as a courtesy, we are switching you to another plan," but what they don't mention is that your rate will more than double and if you don't catch the bait-and-switch within 30 days or less, they won’t issue a refund. Wix also doesn’t inform you their webpages are proprietary and cannot be transferred to any other hosting service. Do you homework before signing on with Wix.

£800+ for a basic website

I appreciate Wix coming back asking for more information on my original review. The issue remains though that we bought a Wix website package and when we realised it was the wrong one, we didn't get a refund, despite buying an alternative package then and there. So basically we have three-year licence for £514.46 that has been used for less than hour. It's not at all clear why a refund has been refused on this.
