Feature Image

GR86 Active Safety Suite

On automatic transmission models, GR86 comes standard with a number of intelligent safety features, including Pre-Collision Braking System, Pre-Collision Throttle Management, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lead Vehicle Start Alert, Lane Departure Warning with Sway Warning and Automatic High Beams. GR86 models equipped with automatic transmission also come with Rear Parking Sonar with Reverse Automatic Braking.

Feature Image

Blind Spot Detection and Rear Parking Sonar With Reverse Automatic Braking

The available Blind Spot Detection (BSD) warns you when a vehicle in the next lane enters GR86’s blind spot. And when you’re in reverse, Rear Parking Sonar with Reverse Automatic Braking uses sensors on the rear bumper to detect obstructions behind the vehicle. If detected, the system can alert the driver with warning sounds and automatically apply the brakes to avoid a collision or reduce collision damage.

Feature Image

All-LED Lighting with Available Adaptive Front-Lighting System

Eye-catching headlights on GR86 feature distinctive LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) to improve visibility and style, as well as an available Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS). Available Driver Assist Package

GR Supra’s available Driver Assist and Safety and Technology Packages bring added peace of mind to every drive. The Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) system is designed to help alert you to vehicles that may be in the Supra’s blind spot, letting you know when it’s safe to change lanes. When you’re slowly backing out of a driveway or parking spot, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) provides audible and visual indicators to help warn you of approaching vehicles. And Cruise Control on Manual Transmission models helps keep your GR Supra going at your desired speed, while Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) on Automatic Transmission models helps with highway driving by keeping GR Supra at a preset distance from the vehicle ahead of it, automatically accelerating and braking as needed.

Feature Image

Available Front and Rear Parking Sensors

Tech that helps detect what you might not. When you’re parking, sensors on the front and rear of GR Supra scan for walls, curbs and other objects that might be hidden from your view. Should the system anticipate a collision, it is designed to emit an audible alert, reduce engine output, and automatically apply the brakes. Simulation shown.

            Infants and Toddlers: Rear-Facing

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, your child should ride in a rear-facing car seat until they reach the seat’s height or weight limit. Infant-only car seats should always face the rear of the vehicle. Convertible and 3-in-1 car seats, which can face either the rear or the front, typically have height and weight limits for the rear-facing position that are higher than the limits on infant seats.

            Owners fifty-fifty image

            Toddlers and Preschoolers: Forward-Facing

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, once your child has reached the maximum height or weight limit allowed in the rear-facing position, then he or she can ride in a forward-facing car seat with a five-point harness. Keep your child in this car seat until they reach the maximum height or weight limit allowed by your car seat’s manufacturer in the forward-facing position.

            Owners fifty-fifty image

            School-Age Children: Booster Seat

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, once your child has reached the maximum height or weight allowed in the forward-facing car seat with harness, transition to a booster seat. Your child should still ride in the rear seat at all times.

When research showed that three out of every four child car seats were being installed incorrectly, we decided to respond. Partnering with experts at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, we helped create Buckle Up for Life, a program that educates the entire family on critical behaviors—like always buckling up, and how to install a car seat the right way.

            Safety Research

When opposing forces connect, it’s a collision. But when forces work together, that’s collaboration. Knowing that when good ideas are shared, great things happen, we created the Collaborative Safety Research Center (CSRC) in 2011.

            Award Winning Safety

Toyota takes pride in the safety and craftsmanship of their vehicles. We are honored by IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) recognizing Toyota vehicles as a safe and reliable choice for you.
