There Is No Offseason (TINO) is a daily—er, weekly—podcast that devotes itself to dynasty fantasy baseball leagues. It’s hosted by Mark Barry and J.P. Breen, two dynasty-league converts who spend far too much time studying scouting reports on teenagers in the Dominican Summer League and pouring through minor-league stat leaders. That means we are prepared to find deep sleepers for your dynasty squad. We will answer your questions, judge whether you have won or lost your recent trades, discuss strategy, and inevitably veer onto a well-meaning tangent or two.
Through our Patreon, we’ll offer some bonus content for the podcast. That means special episodes, a Discord channel for everything dynasty-related, listener leagues where you can play against the hosts, and other goodies. TINO already boasts a strong community. We want to provide venues for that community to interact more often, and we’ll hopefully welcome new members to our humble little parish.
Mark Barry is the Fantasy Team Manager at Baseball Prospectus. He aspires to be A.J. Hinch in the role, but realistically, he’s Ron Gardenhire (whatever that means). He is a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan, and still holds out hope that someday Carlos Santana can get a statue next to Bob Feller, Larry Doby, and Jim Thome. He has a soft spot for high-hit, low-power minor leaguers and will likely never give up on a monster Gregory Polanco season.
J.P. Breen is the Fantasy Editor for Baseball Prospectus. He has hosted a podcast on the Milwaukee Brewers for the past two years, which means he understands what it’s like to suffer through a 26-year playoff drought. Maybe that’s why he likes dynasty leagues so much. Sometimes that beautiful farm system is all a person has in life, ya know? Plus, there’s something about discovering that low-minors diamond in the rough before everyone else that makes a person feel smug. That’s the dopamine high everyone wants.
TINO: We put the Dope in dopamine.
