Journal of Biomimetics, Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering - Details

Journal of Biomimetics, Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering (JBBBE), before 2014 known as Journal of Biomimetics, Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering (JBBTE, ISSN print 1662-1018; ISSN cd 1662-8993; ISSN web 1662-100X), is a multidisciplinary journal. It's scope covers the fields of Biocompatible Materials, Biomedical Engineering, Biomimetics (descriptions of subjects are given in accordance to Medical Subject Headings MeSH).

All papers submitted to the JBBBE undergo external peer review and internal quality control that requires the time period of not less than one month. The decision about publication of each paper is made by the Editorial Board based on the evaluation of it's suitability to the journal scope and requirements, reports of qualified reviewers and additional plagiarism check with iThenticate software.

JBBBE editors adhere to the ethical guidelines outlined by COPE in the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and require reviewers to follow the Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.
In the case of evidence of malpractice is reported (unreliable research results publication, plagiarism, redundant publication, citation manipulation) in the context of one of the published papers, the editors reserve the right to retract the paper following the procedures described in the COPE’s Retraction Guidelines.
All the parties participating in the peer-review and editorial processes (authors, reviewers, editors) are required to consider and disclose any relationships and obstacles that can potentially cause conflicts of interest.

JBBBE editors encourage authors to follow the Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals to ensure their work is in line with the best practices of academic writing. The template and instructions for manuscript preparation are available in the personal account after registration.

The publication in the JBBBE implies the Copyright Agreement to the publisher. Authors can choose whether to contribute a paper as under-subscription based content or use the option of open access publication under CC BY 4.0 license.
