I'm Alex and I joined SB Nation in 2019 as deputy editor of our storytelling team.
I got my start in magazine and news journalism before venturing into sports reporting in 2014 as an SEC culture writer for AL.com. My goal was to tell meaningful stories about sports fans for sports fans, ranging from the history of game-day traditions to feuding college town cops and even how the loss of my father would forever be tied to sports.
A long-suffering Ole Miss sports fan, I studied journalism and history at the University of Mississippi. The South is home.
