Bob Stamps Gameday Associate of the Year Award

Bob Stamps Gameday Associate of the Year Award

Bob Stamps is currently in his 52nd full season with the Royals. He has been a cornerstone of the Royals gameday experience since he started as an usher at Municipal Stadium in downtown Kansas City. Bob was promoted to Usher Supervisor in 1977 and has been a part of every postseason and All-Star Game at The K. The Royals have always prided themselves in being the best in guest relations, and Bob has consistently set the bar for his fellow event staff associates.

To honor Bob's commitment to the Royals and his passion for enhancing the gameday experience, we have named an award after him to be presented to one event staff associate each season. This award will be given to the associate who best emulates the four character traits Bob has shown throughout his tenure with the Royals: Pride, Teamwork, Guest Service, and Character. Fans, front office, and fellow event staff are able to nominate an event staff associate who they feel is deserving of this honor. The winner will be announced in September during an on-field ceremony.
