Steinbrenner Field A-Z Information Guide

Use this page for information on all George M. Steinbrenner Field policies and procedures during the Tampa Tarpons season.

Please Note: This A-Z Guide is specific to the Single-A Tampa Tarpons Season.


A

Address and Telephone:

George M. Steinbrenner Field, 1 Steinbrenner Drive, Tampa, FL 33614. The executive office phone number is 813-673-3055. The official team website is tarponsbaseball.com.

Alcohol Policy:

Law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors (under 21), intoxicated persons and those without proper identification. Guests who appear to be under age 30 are required to show valid photo ID indicating legal proof of age when purchasing alcohol inside the ballpark. Alcoholic beverage sales are limited to two (2) alcoholic beverages per person, per ID. Alcohol will be discontinued at the end of the 7th inning for the entire building, vendor and concession stands.

Animals:

Certified seeing-eye dogs and/or assistance dogs are allowed in Steinbrenner Field. No other animals are permitted within the ballpark. Excluding special events such as Bark at the Park.

Baby & Toddler Tickets:

Children under the age of three do not need to purchase a ticket to get into Steinbrenner Field; however, they will be expected to sit on an adults lap during the game.

Bags:

Backpacks, diaper bags, and other bags are permitted in Steinbrenner Field, however they MUST be smaller than 16"x16"x9". To ensure the safety of all and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, all individuals, purses, bags, and similar receptacles will be subject to search and inspection prior to entry into facility.

Banners & Signs:

Fans may create their own signs to bring to Steinbrenner Field. These signs may not contain any vulgar language or inappropriate graphics. No signs may be hung from anything, and cannot obstruct the view of other fans.

Box Office:

The Ticket Office is located in the main building, behind and to the right of the main stairwell. There is a secondary box office at the right field entrance but will only be open for select home games.

Hours:

Tuesday - Saturday: 5:30 PM through the end of the 5th inning.

Sunday: 11:00 AM through the end of the 5th inning.

Cameras & Video Equipment:

Cameras and Video Cameras are allowed in Steinbrenner Field; however footage may only be used for personal use. Fans are not permitted to stand in the aisles or obstruct the view of other fans. Tripods are not permitted in the stadium at any time.

Changing Tables:

Infant changing tables are located in all of the men's and women's restrooms at Steinbrenner Field.

Code of Conduct:

While on Steinbrenner Field property, Guests must at all times comply with the Steinbrenner Field Guest Code of Conduct, the GMS Policies and Procedures, and any other rules issued by the New York Yankees / Tampa Tarpons.

Concessions:

Concession stands are located by the main entrance selling food and beverages. The DEX Imaging Bullpen Club bar will be open for Friday, Saturday & Sunday home games.

Disabled Access:

Wheelchairs may enter the stadium through the front reception area located under the main stairwell, and take the elevators to the main concourse (2nd floor).

Elevators:

Elevators are located outside of the main lobby of Steinbrenner Field.

Emergency Medical Services & First Aid:

If you are in need of emergency medical services, please seek a Tampa Tarpons staff member or go to guest services. The First Aid room is located behind section 212.

Entrances:

Gate Two is located off the main parking lot, and up the main stairwell.

Fan Interference:

Interference with a ball in play and trespassing onto the playing field is strictly prohibited and will result in ejection from the stadium and/or arrest.

First Aid & Emergency Medical Services:

If you are in need of emergency medical services, please seek a Tampa Tarpons staff member or go to guest services. The First Aid room is located behind section 212.

Foul Balls:

Fans may keep any foul balls hit or thrown into the stands. However, fans may not interfere with a play, or enter the field area in an attempt to catch a ball. If any injury occurs due to a foul ball, please find a Tampa Tarpons staff member or go to Guest Services.

Front Office:

The main offices for the Tampa Tarpons are located in front of the stadium behind the main stairwell.

Monday - Friday: 2:00pm - End of Game

Saturday - 2:00pm - End of Game

Gates Open:

Gates open 30 minutes before every game, unless otherwise stated for special events.

Lost & Found:

Any lost articles can be turned in or claimed at guest services, located on the main concourse of Steinbrenner Field. If there is no game being played, please check with the front office for lost items.

Lost Children or Companions:

If your child or companion goes missing, please see a Tampa Tarpons staff member and they will assist you. All concerns should be directed to guest services.

Official Game:

A game can be called after five full innings of play. This call is at the discretion of the umpires and league officials. However, the Tampa Tarpons will do their best to finish every game.

P

Parking:

Game day parking is available on George M. Steinbrenner Field's property and is FREE. Overflow parking is available in the General Parking lots, EAST of George M. Steinbrenner Field. The entrance to these lots is off of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Prohibited Items:

If a Tampa Tarpons staff member feels that fan safety is in danger, items brought into the ballpark may be confiscated. This policy is designed for the safety of all fans. To ensure the safety of all and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, all individuals, purses, bags, and similar receptacles will be subject to search and inspection prior to entry into facility. Failure to comply with Steinbrenner Field management will result in denial of entry

Prohibited Items include but are Not Limited to:

  • Aerosol cans (ex. mace, pepper spray or hairspray)
  • Backpacks, duffel bags, large bags and/or purses that exceed the 16"x16"x8" size limit
  • Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades or hover boards.
  • Briefcases, coolers, other hard-sided bags or containers, including a suitcase or bag on wheels
  • Binocular cases and camera bags
  • Drones
  • Full size bats
  • Folding chairs and/or lawn chairs
  • Firearms, knives or weapons of any kind
  • Fireworks
  • Glass, plastic, aluminum bottles or cans
  • Laptop computers and TV sets
  • Laser pointers
  • Masks or costumes
  • Noisemakers that are not provided by the Yankees
  • Outside food and/or drinks, including water (unless for medical or religious conditions)
  • Outside alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs or substances
  • Pets (service animals permitted)
  • Projectiles (beach balls, frisbees, etc.)
  • Signs larger than 11"x17"
  • Sticks/clubs, pom-poms with stick handles, poles, camera/"selfie" sticks, or extenders
  • Umbrellas
  • Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Radio controlled model aircraft/ drones (strictly prohibited on stadium property including parking lots, stadium exterior and inside the stadium)
  • Video or other equipment designed for videos and/or audio recording, including monopods/tripods
  • Visible obscene, indecent or inappropriate clothing
  • Water guns
  • Any device that may interfere with and/or distract any sport or event participants, other guest, audio/visual telecast or recording of the game or event

*There is no storage area for any items. Guests arriving by public transportation should take precaution not to bring any prohibited items, as no exceptions will be made.

*During New York Yankees Spring Training, all strollers are prohibited and will not be allowed inside.

* The Tarpons reserve the right to change or modify this policy without notice.

Rain Check:

If a Game is not played or does not progress to a point of play which constitutes a regulation game (as defined by MLB) is not played, this Ticket will constitute a rain check (“Rain Check”) that can either be: (i) used for admission to the rescheduled Game, if any, subject to certain doubleheader limitations or (ii) if the Game is not rescheduled, Licensee may obtain a refund by returning this Ticket to the ORIGINAL POINT OF PURCHASE. Ticket refunds will be made in the original form of payment. Refunds will not be accepted after December 31st of the current year. For double headers, a Rain Check will be void after a legal game is played in the first game.

Restrooms:

Men's and Women's restrooms are located around the main concourse and are all wheelchair accessible, and equipped with an infant changing table. Family restrooms are also available behind section 204 & 218.

Smoking Policy:

George M. Steinbrenner Field is now an entirely Tobacco free venue. Smoking is prohibited in all seats, LECOM luxury suites, restrooms, and elevators at Steinbrenner Field.

Strollers:

Strollers are NOT permitted in Steinbrenner Field.

Team Store:

The team store sells all of the latest Tampa Tarpons apparel and accessories. Fans may also shop on our website by clicking here.

Umbrellas:

Umbrellas are not permitted inside Steinbrenner Field.

W

Wheelchair Access:

Wheelchairs may enter the stadium through the from elevators, located near the main lobby to the right of the large white NY logo. Fans can take the elevators to the main concourse (2nd floor).

Wheelchair Accessible Seating:

Wheelchair seating is located around the main level between the 100 and 200 level seats. These tickets can be purchased at the box office. The area is set up so the occupant in the wheelchair can sit with up to two companions. GMS Field will not provide folding chairs of any kind for the accessible seating areas.

Will Call:

Will call is located at the box office and opens one hour before game time.
