First appearance | Mario is Missing! (1993) |
The Emperor's Bell (more commonly known as the Tsar Bell) is an item that only appears in the NES release of Mario is Missing!. It is the largest bell in the world, although it is in a nonoperational state, and it is exhibited in the Kremlin. The heavy bell is stolen by some Koopa Troopas when they invade Moscow, leaving Luigi to locate it. He takes it from a single Koopa Troopa that was walking around Moscow, then questions various people throughout the city about its origins. Not only does everyone recognize it, they also provide extra trivia, such as how it weighs 210 tons (although its official weight is around 202 tons[1]). Luigi eventually brings it to the Kremlin's information booth and, using his acquired knowledge, proves that the Bell that he is holding is genuine, and the booth's clerk gives him a $2000 reward. In the SNES version, the Cannonball from the Emperor's Cannon appears as the Kremlin's stolen item instead of the Emperor's Bell.
