Haven't listened to anything by these guys beyond American Slang. So I have a question: does Brian still sing about Old Man Shoes in almost every song?

I really enjoyed the new album. I wasn't too excited because I really don't like "Get Hurt" (except for the B-Sides). So "History Books" isn't the continuation of any of the previous albums and it stills sounds totally like a TGA album. I think the 'old' song that most matches the new album is "Halloween" .

New album is really good. Spider Bites and Michigan especially, it's good to have them back!

I think that it is wrong to gaslight people so for this band to write anthems about it is a bit problematic to say the least. I hope they learn from their mistakes and stop writing anthems where they are gaslighting people 🙏 if they do not change I WILL be coming after their revenue and they WILL NOT be writing anymore gaslight anthems.

They are back, baby!

The last 10 years since I first listened to them I go through a lot of different bands and genres, but I've always comeback to them. It's something magical that they always make me feel good no matter what's happening around me.

I listened to the 59 sound so much that now over a decade later if I hear any song on the album it gives me vivid memories of specific moments in my life. Weird that an album generating artificial nostalgia is now genuinely nostalgic. It's literally keeping memories in my head from fading away.

I am kinda glad they are on hiatus, too many bands and people just go on churning and burning for the money. If your not feeling it, stop doing it.

I can easily say that they, along with Social Distortion, are the bands which have helped me the most to overcome some hard times.

Really? last time I saw them live in November 2014 They only played 1. I feel a bit cheated.

They played 5 songs from Sink or Swim at their last headline show before the hiatus.

Personally I'm really looking forward to Painkillers so I don't mind they're on a break. I just hope when they come back they tour those two albums in full.
