Nahee (나히), born Kim Na-hee on October 28, 1999, in South Korea, was a South Korean singer-songwriter and producer known for her contributions to the indie, ballad, and city pop genres. She debuted as a solo artist on October 28, 2019, with the digital single "Blue City."
Throughout her career, Nahee showcased versatility by playing both the guitar and piano, instruments she had been acquainted with since childhood. Her music often reflected personal experiences and emotions, resonating with a diverse audience. In September 2020, Nahee signed with the agency Mun Hwa In, under which she released several digital singles, including "Blue Night," "Gloomy Day," and "I'm Not Fine!" Her discography is marked by a progression from indie ballads to more experimental electronica, highlighting her evolving artistry.
Tragically, Nahee passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 24. While the official cause of death was not disclosed, reports indicate she had been dealing with depression. Her passing was a significant loss to the music community, and she is remembered for her emotive songwriting and musical talent.
Posthumously, her studio album "The Ending" was released on June 2, 2024, featuring nine unreleased songs that she had been working on prior to her death. This album serves as a testament to her enduring influence and the depth of her artistic expression.
