Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson (born November 19, 1989), better known by his stage name Tyga (an acronym for Thank You God Always), is an American rapper signed to Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Universal Republic Records. He is of Vietnamese and Jamaican descent. He first received recognition with his debut single "Coconut Juice", featuring his cousin Travie McCoy.
No Introduction was the first independent album by American rapper Tyga. It was released on June 10, 2008, on Decaydance Records. One of the songs from this album, "Diamond Life", was used in the video game Need for Speed: Undercover, and on Madden 2009, as well as in the 2009 movie Fighting.
Tyga released many mixtapes. Fan of a Fan was the most known Chris Brown and Tyga created by producers DJ Ill Will and DJ Rockstar. It features other artists such as Bow Wow, Lil Wayne, and Kevin McCall featured in several tracks. Four tracks (Holla at Me, G Shit, No Bullshit and Deuces) are also accompanied by a music video. The track "Deuces" was released as the debut single of the mixtape and, as of August 26, 2010, has reached number fourteen on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The track has also been nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 53rd Grammy Awards. The track, among others, was on the tracklist of Chris Brown's fourth studio album, F.A.M.E.. Tyga also told MTV in an interview that the production of the mixtape took just short of a week.
Careless World: Rise of the Last King is his second studio album. The album will be released on february 21, 2012 on Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Universal Republic Records. Careless World: Rise of the Last King is a move to the rapping style he featured in the collaboration album We Are Young Money rather me than the poppy dance element shown on No Introduction. Tyga stated that the album shows he has grown up but still relates to the kids. Tyga released a new mixtape #BitchImTheShit in preparation for this album. The first official single Far Away was released on May 17th 2011. It peaked at 86 on the Billboard Hot 100. The second official single Still Got It was released on October 4th 2011. It peaked at 89 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Third official single Rack City was released on December 6th 2011. It was originally listed on Tyga's Well Done 2 mixtape. Tyga put it on the album because of the song's instant success and rise. It debuted at number 91 on the Billboard Hot 100, and has peaked at number 8 since then. The Fourth official single Faded was released on 13th January 2012. It debuted the Hot 100 chart at 124.

Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson (nato il 9 Novembre 1989), meglio conosciuto come Tyga (acronimo di Thank You God Always, cioè Grazie Dio Sempre), è un rapper americano appartenente alla Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records e Universal Republic Records. E' metà giamaicano e metà vietnamita e ha ottenuto il primo successo con il singolo di debutto "Coconut Juice", che vede la collaborazione del cugino Travie McCoy.
''No Introduction'' è stato il primo album indipendente di Tyga, uscito il 10 Giugno 2008 sotto l'etichetta Decaydance Records. Una canzone dell'album, "Diamond Life", venne usata nei video game ''Need for Speed: Undercover'', ''Madden 2009'' e anche nel film Fighting (2009).
Tyga ha pubblicato vari mixtapes: ''Fan of a Fan'' è il più conosciuto, creato da DJ III Will e DJ Rockstar, con Tyga e Chris Brown come artisti principali e la collaborazione di artisti come Bow Wow, Lil Wayne e Kevin McCall in vari brani. Inoltre per ''Holla at Me'', ''G Shit'', ''No Bullshi'' e ''Deuces'' sono stati girati i rispettivi video. "Deuces" venne rilasciato come singolo di lancio del mixtape e il 26 Agosto 2010 aveva raggiunto il 14° posto nella chart Billboard Hot 100 e il primo posto nella chart Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs; arrivò anche alla 53esima edizione dei Grammy Awards, nominato nella categoria Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Inoltre, insieme ad altri brani, fa parte della tracklist del quarto album di Chris Brown, F.A.M.E..
''Careless World: Rise of the Last King'' è il secondo album di Tyga, rilasciato il 21 Febbraio 2012 dalle etichette Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records e Universal Republic Records, e si avvicina di più allo stile rap di ''We Are Young Money'' (album che vede la collaborazione di tutti gli artisti facenti parti dell'etichetta Young Money Entertainment/Cash Money Records, creata da Lil Wayne e di cui Tyga fa parte insieme ad altri artisti tra cui Nicki Minaj e Drake), piuttosto che allo stile dance di ''No Introduction''.
Tyga spiegò che l'album mostra la sua crescita, ma che comunque è sempre collegato ai più giovani. Durante la creazione dell'album, Tyga rilasciò un nuovo mixtape, ''#BitchImTheShit'': il primo singolo ''Far Away'' venne rilasciato il 17 Maggio 2011, entrando nella chart Billboard Hot 100 all' 86° posto. Il secondo singolo, ''Still Got It'', venne invece rilasciato il 4 Ottobre 2011, debuttando nella Billboard Hot 100 all' 89° posto. Il terzo singolo, ''Rack City'', pensato inizialmente per il mixtape ''Well Done 2'', venne rilasciato il 6 Dicembre 2011 e Tyga decise di includerlo nell'album visto l'immediato successo: dopo un debutto al 91° posto nella Billboard Hot 100, raggiunse la top 10 arrivando all'ottava posizione. Il quarto singolo, ''Faded'', è un duetto con Lil Wayne ed è stato rilasciato il 13 Gennaio 2012, debuttando al 124° posto della Billboard Hot 100.
