так получается, что здесь в целом нет канона по терминологии, потому что группы, которые причисляют к первой волне по сути были прото и сами себя никогда ее частью особо не считали, вот и возникает вопрос - где тогда началась вторая волна и когда она закончилась? я лично для себя обозначил термином мидвест большую часть тех групп девяностых, что несли эту музыку в массы и по сути сформировали золотой фонд классики жанра (а альбом Waiting под эти критерии отлично подходит), ну и без приставки мидвест - ту плеяду уже более попсовых и рафинированных групп, появившихся после 2000 года, благо и изменения в плане звучания там тоже были очевидными
