Dripping is a prime example of the degeneracy plaguing metal. it embodies everything wrong with the scene: a complete lack of structure, no understanding of harmony or counterpoint, and an appalling disregard for tradition. instead of building upon the achievements of past masters like morbid angel and suffocation they indulge in mindless chaos. each song sounds like half-baked idea thrown together without any regard for listenability or coherence. the experimentation borders on self-parody, with elements of jazz fusion and electro-pop incongruously mixed into their repulsive sludge. not only does dripping fail as metal, but it also fails as music, period. if anything, they should rename themselves “dribbling”

'Skydiving out of the Hemisphere' sounds like a fuckin' joke. i don't mind the experimentation with different music styles,but that sounds just completely out of place.like mixing up madonna with deicide and expecting something good to happen. they have some great tracks though.
