There are some excellent USBM acts. Wolves In the Throne Room, Xasthur and Liturgy to name a few. I don't get the prejudice.

I want to like it all so bad. Lurker of Chalice is nutty, and Judas Iscariot is brilliant when he wants to be. Xasthur and Leviathan are am dunkelstens. Velvet Caccon, Clair Cassis, may be trendy but only cuz they start trends and do what they do way better than anyone else. And Nachtmystium's new direction WILL grow on you because it's actually really cool. Krallice is not terrible and certainly not boring either. Liturgy, however, is gay as fuck (no offense gays!).

Leviathan used to be good a while ago. USBM scene had a great potential with Judas Iscariot, Weltmacht and Krieg, but went to shit with all those plaid-shirt neckbeard bands. Shame, really.
