I don't know why last.fm still can't or doesn't create separate pages for artists with the same. Maybe I am crazy but it can't be that hard to create a new artist page last.fm/music/Sophia(1,2,3,...) for each band with the same name giving number preference to whichever band took the name first. With indie Sophia being the first they keep /music/Sophia and last.fm moves all scrobbles for the Swedish Sofa to /music/Sophia(1) and then the Austrailian singer to /music/Sophia(2) and so on. If last.fm can auto correct scrobbles they can flag incoming Sophia scrobbles tagged with the album Aus Der Welt to be counted towards /music/Sofa(1). Nothing would need to be done on the user end, it would all happen automatically.
