I admire Viktor Tsoi for his work, especially when he enjoyed it to the fullest and not doing it for the money. Back then rock bands were given no support from the government (USSR) since lack of popularity and rarely sponsored them in media. Despite that, he lived a simple life. This is the correct way to be an artist. Rip.

yeah lastfm does have many issues but spotify is at fault here, should have kept the name in cyrillic

i think it's a matter of language, i switched my spotify to russian pretty recently and it registers kino under the cyrillic name, and then shifts my plays to кино. it's really annoying

There's a really useful app called Pano Scrobbler that lets you edit scrobbles within 14 days. Use Кино for the russian band, 키노 for the korean singer, and Kino for the british band. Simple. And if keeping them together with scrobbles older than 14 days is important to you, then you can just pay the 3 quid for a moth of pro and edit the rest of them

Doesn't the band go by their name in cyrillic anyway? Why not scrobble under that name? Also I apologize if I came across rude, it's just frustrating whenever a korean artist has the same name as another artist they get attacked all the time for no reason, simply for being a k-pop artist. As fans we get tired of artists we like being crapped on for no reason

I don't know why they don't, maybe the developers can do somethin of it, because I know there are other bands out there that have the same issue with same name. I've ran into the problem many times on discord with the bot where I try to look for a small artist and it comes up with this czech porno music group, don't ask me what the artist name was again. Also it's okay to be upset, givin' the fact a-lot of people do hate on k-pop.
