Already there are things from the 2000s that cannot be experienced. I recall a lot of shows I watched on cable during the 2000s, which are not available to view these days. Several websites I enjoyed during the 2000s are also gone or else completely changed. I also miss the online modes of games like "Mario Kart Wii", which have since been taken down. I am hoping that the shows at least might be made available to stream in the future....

2000 was 19 years ago. I wonder how long until the early 2000s are considered to be retro (not just yet, it's still pretty recent, but it's gonna happen eventually). At the very least, technology has already changed a lot since 2000.
