Job Opportunity: Experienced C/UNIX® Developer – Test Suite Development for the UNIX and POSIX™ Standards

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced developer to design and implement additions to, and to maintain and provide user support for, the test suites that validate an implementation's adherence to the UNIX® and POSIX™ standards. Your work will directly contribute to the robustness and reliability of POSIX and UNIX systems worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance portable test cases in C and POSIX shell (sh) to validate compliance with UNIX and POSIX specifications
- Collaborate with standards bodies and technical experts to ensure test suite accuracy
- Analyze and debug issues uncovered by test runs, providing detailed reports
- Contribute to documentation and ongoing improvements of testing tools
- Respond to bug reports and other support requests from test suite users
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C programming using POSIX/UNIX APIs, including multi-threaded programs
- Experience with POSIX shell (sh) programming, and UNIX development utilities such as "make"
- Deep understanding of UNIX and POSIX standards
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with the "expect" automated testing tool not essential but would be an advantage
- Experience with git-based source code control not essential but would be an advantage
