Netflix co-ceo Ted Sarandos said the mammoth turnout of viewers to watch Jake Paul fight Mike Tyson was a success — notwithstanding the video glitches that disrupted the livestream.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy took to X several times during the event to post about the streaming service buffering, writing, “So the reports are in. #netflix wasnt ready for this. This is unwatchable,” and “I’m in the classic torture chamber where I cant tell if my internet keeps going out or whether #netflix is just constantly buffering and unwatchable for everybody.”

Overall, it's been a great season of Love is Blind UK. As I mentioned, there's something really interesting about how invested these couples are in the process. In later seasons of the US show, we've definitely seen more than a few couples in it for fame and a little bit of screen time, but that doesn't seem to be the case with Love is Blind UK.

The Netflix reality show is facing another lawsuit from a cast member who says she was put in unsafe situations while filming. Renee Poche is suing Netflix and production company Delirium TV, claiming they violated California labor law and intentionally inflicted emotional distress. Poche’s lawsuit follows another suit from fellow cast member Tran Dang, who says production failed to step in after her fiancé sexually assaulted her during filming.

From Neon Noir, the upcoming Brute 1976 is said to be a love letter to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes, with Joe Knetter (Twilight of the Dead) writing.

Deadline details, “Brute 1976 will begin with the story of Raquel and her girlfriend, whose car breaks down in the middle of nowhere as they travel to a photoshoot in the desert to celebrate Bicentennial unity. They stumble across an abandoned mine and explore it, while the photoshoot group replace her with make-up artist Sunshine and then find abandoned town Savage, which has a violent history but is the perfect place to take some photos.

Okay, so first things first. Blind is remake of a Korean film. It is not the first Indian remake of the 2011 film. In 2021, there was a Tamil version Netrikann. Prior to that, there was a Chinese and Japanese version as well.

This is to say, Blind is popular subject for remakes. The Hindi one, just out on the free-for-all JioCinema platform, is not as powerful as Netrikann. But I must say Sonam Kapoor Ahuja looks as pretty playing blind as Nayanthara in the original.

The underrated Purab Kohli is the serial killer on the prowl. Not enough bite to his bark. There is so much barking going on, what with a friendly canine playing a pivotal role. The plot has a few heartstopping moments of suspense especially when the killer gives the blind heroine a ride on a car where he has a dead woman in the trunk.

An intense drama headlined by Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, ‘Blind’ promises a perfect combination of suspense and drama, backed by an engrossing and nuanced storyline.

With an ensemble cast featuring Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, Lilette Dubey and Shubham Saraf, directed by Shome Makhija, ‘Blind’ is a captivating story of a visually impaired yet resilient woman (played by Sonam) who becomes a key witness to a crime.

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, who will be seen stepping into the role of a visually-impaired woman in her upcoming streaming movie ‘Blind’, has revealed the reason behind giving her nod to the film.

The actress said that she said yes to the thriller movie because of one man – director-producer Sujoy Ghosh, who is known as the master of the genre given his films like ‘Kahaani’, ‘Badla’ and others.

Sonam is returning to screens after a maternity break, and will be seen fighting it out against a cold-blooded serial-killer in the edgy thriller.

Sujoy has produced the film which is directed by Shome Makhija.

The actress said, “It was a no-brainer for me to do ‘Blind’ because Sujoy Ghosh is the producer of the film. He has a fantastic track record with edgy, gritty thrillers and I jumped at the idea that Sujoy would be the captain of the ship for Blind.

The singer’s 2022 album Sos was her first No. 1 album and broke the record for the largest streaming week ever for an R&b album. The album’s singles “Nobody Gets Me” and “Kill Bill” were both top-ten hits with the latter reaching number one on the Billboard Global 200 charts. Her previous full-length album, Ctrl was also successful, earning universal acclaim from music critics and certifying triple platinum.

She has also collaborated with several prominent artists, including on the tracks “All the Stars” with Kendrick Lamar and “Kiss Me More” with Doja Cat. The former earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song while the latter won her the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

San Francisco, Feb 28 (Ians) Mobile application developer company Bending Spoons has laid off 129 employees of note-taking and task management app Evernote, months after acquiring the company.

According to TechCrunch, Bending Spoons acquired Evernote, founded over 20 years ago, in November last year.

“This was a difficult — yet necessary — decision as we pursue our ambitious plans for Evernote. The company has been unprofitable for years and the situation was unsustainable in the long term,” a spokesperson was quoted as saying.

Though it is unclear which specific departments were affected, posts on LinkedIn and Blind (a social media app) suggest that the layoffs touched a range of Evernote teams, including product design, engineering, Hr, sales, customer service, and marketing, according to the report.

Mumbai, Jan 15 (Ians) Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor complained about pollution due to construction work in Mumbai and said that it is ‘tortuorous’ to drive in the city.

She mentioned in her tweet that she was travelling from her house in Juhu to Bandra bandstand but it took really long to reach to her destination.

She tweeted: “It’s torturous to drive through Mumbai. It’s taken me an hour to reach the bandstand from Juhu. Too much construction and digging everywhere. Pollution is through the roof. What’s going on.”

Some social media users said she was right, but many criticised her as well.
