Laura studied a Master in Creation Documentary at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Her interest in filmmaking started in San Francisco, California. In 2010, she arrived to Mexico to study film and work as a director, photographer and editor in different documentary projects.
In 2011, Laura was a member of the film collective Emergenciamx, and she is also a founding member of La Sandía Digital, Audiovisual Culture Lab. She has directed over 20 documentary shorts. In 2012, she directed the feature-length documentary "Rough Are The Days Without Nothing", produced by La Sandía Digital.
Her feature-length debut, "The Swirl" (El Remolino) premiered at the Locarno Film Festival, and has been awarded in festivals such as DOCUMENTAMADRID (ES), PLANETFOCUS (CA), SARATOV IFF (RU), FICBAQ (CO), FICMY (MX) and ECOZNIE (ES). It was part of the official selection at the Morelia Film Festival (MX), Ambulante (MX), Camden (USA), Full Frame (USA) and Miradas Docs (ES), to name a few. Laura is now in production stage of her latest documentary, "La Mami".
