- TriviaThe Battle of Bosworth is made up of stock footage from the original Universal version of Tower of London (1939).
- GoofsWhen Price falls off his horse near the end of the film, the camera is much too close--the face of his stunt double is clearly visible.
- Quotes
Mistress Shore: [as a ghost, showing the whip lashes on her bare back to Richard of Gloucester] Wouldn't you rather look at my back? Is it not attractive as a woman's back should be?
- Crazy creditsNo credit is given to Robert N. Lee, who wrote the 1939 original, nor William Shakespeare, from whose "Richard III" this was freely adapted.
- ConnectionsEdited from Tower of London (1939)
Featured review
TOWER OF LONDON has the one and only Vincent Price as the utterly insane, homicidal Richard III. Stopping at nothing to secure his place on the throne of England, anyone in Richard's way is terminated expeditiously.
However, the murderous monarch didn't count on being pestered by the ghosts of his many victims. He's soon overrun by specters that insist upon his joining them.
Price is superb in his looney, malevolent role, and Director Roger Corman captures it all beautifully. As horror film duos go, Corman and Price can't be beat!...
