It might have seemed at one point that, like the Tower of London's raven tradition, the Scream franchise could not stand without stalwarts Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox. But last year's Scream VI did well enough without Campbell (who opted to pass due to an insultingly low salary offer). Now, though, following a wave of issues and director changes, the seventh entry is most certainly headed in a nostalgic direction, with Campbell back and now Cox in talks to similarly return.
The Friends alumnus has, of course, appeared in every Scream outing to date as ambitious journalist Gale Weathers. This new movie marks the franchise getting (some of) the old band back together, as Kevin Williamson, who wrote the first film and a couple of other original entries, is stepping up to direct.

After seven seasons, Showtime’s widely-watched gem “Billions” will be returning this week for its final season.
Created by Brian Koppelman, David Levien and Andrew Ross Sorkin, the financial drama first premiered in 2016 and follows the cat-and-mouse games between a hedge fund manager (Damian Lewis) and the United States Attorney (Paul Giamatti).
The first season was loosely inspired by Preet Bharara, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and his prosecution of S.A.C. Capital Advisors’ Steven A. Cohen. But as the show has continued, it’s morphed away from its real-life inspiration to become something else entirely.
Whether you’re wondering how to stream new episodes or watch them live, here’s how to watch “Billions” Season 7.
When does “Billions” Season 7 premiere?

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Billions Season 7 premiere “Tower of London.”] The road to the end of Billions has begun with the start of its seventh and final season, which brings Damian Lewis back as Bobby “Axe” Axelrod for one last showdown. Axe did not give up his business empire easily. At the end of Season 5 of Showtime’s Wall Street thriller, a two-pronged attack drove him from New York City to Switzerland, turning him from a swaggering master of the universe into a financial fugitive. New York State Attorney General Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) falsely accused him of money-laundering charges. Meanwhile, his billionaire nemesis, Michael Prince (Corey Stoll), took advantage of the situation to acquire Axelrod’s assets below price. However, despite the setbacks, Axe has made a strong comeback with his charismatic and cutthroat demeanor still intact as he reenters the ring. At the end of the Season 7 premiere, we see Wendy Rhoades...

It’s been five years since the TV academy adopted the Supporting Visual Effects category in an effort to honor subtle, less dominant work. It’s hard for a prestige drama with set extensions and other environmental re-creations to compete with “Game of Thrones.” (Luckily that’s not an issue this year.) Previous winners include “Boardwalk Empire,” “Banshee,” “Black Sails,” “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” and “Sherlock: The Abominable Bride.”
This season it’s a battle between “The Crown” and “The Handmaid’s Tale,” joined by “Genius,” “Gotham,” and “Taboo.” All feature splendid environmental work that help conjure the retro Gilead or recreate Buckingham Palace, gritty 19th century London, 1920’s Berlin, and present-day Manhattan.

It’s Bill. Bill who? Bill Potts. You know the one, the girl with the boy’s name who The Doctor met at the University he was teaching at. Bill makes her comic book debut somewhat ironically this issue just as we saw her and The Twelfth Doctor’s final adventure screen on TV last week. The TV show helped us see how their relationship began, and how it seemingly ended, this book will help us see what great adventures they had in between. The cover this issue, by Claudia Ianniciello, of The Doctor and Bill is an absolute stunner too, capturing likenesses and personality in one painted picture to perfection.
The Wolves of Winter arc takes us off to the Ninth Century Atlantic Ocean, and a Viking ship carrying a mysterious treasure to a mysterious place. Colour me intrigued.

This has been a fun world to visit over the last 3 issues. Full of ‘new’ characters inspired by their classic literary counterparts, it is a new story that still feels strangely familiar. Kim Newman has pulled a Alan Moore by tying together characters in a story that weren’t meant to ever meet, has given them all a horror spin, and now they all seem very at home with each other. Dracula, The Lord of Strange Deaths (Fu Manchu), The Professor (Moriarty), Graf Von Orlok (Nosferatu) are but a few faces in a sea of near familiar ones, with roles both large and small to play.
The main pieces on our board right now though are Kate Reed, The Limehouse Ring, The Council of Seven Days, and Penelope Churchward. If you came in late you have missed far too much to recap,...

Royal fans may be excited about Netflix’s series, The Crown, but what about the formidable piece of royal hardware that is the centerpiece of the show’s first season?
The coronation of Queen Elizabeth — which took place 64 years ago today — featured the famous 3-lb. Imperial State Crown, which is the same sparkler that the 91-year-old monarch wears when she attends the Opening of Parliament Ceremony every year.
Here’s what you need to know about the stunning piece of history:
1. It is 177 years old.
Probably the Queen’s best known crown, it was originally made for Queen Victoria’s coronation in 1838 by Rundell,...

‘He Is Not Here for the Public to Make Fun of’ — Tourist Scolded for Throwing Glove at Queen’s Guard
Royal standoff!
A tourist at the Tower of London has been scolded for allegedly throwing her glove towards a Queen’s Guard soldier in an attempt to get him to move.
The woman was caught on camera being chided by a London Beefeater (guardians of the Tower of London) after the incident.
“Did you just throw your glove over? Why did you do that? The Army’s here to protect the crown jewels, he is not here for the public to make fun of,” he tells her in a video taken by a fellow tourist.

Prince Harry had a precious encounter with a little girl when he met with the team who will represent the UK at the Invictus Games at the Tower of London on Tuesday. The royal was introduced to 6-year-old Maya Turner, whose mother, Raf Sgt. Michelle, is taking part in the games this September. Not only did he lean down to shake the little girl's hand, but he also took a moment to read the letter she wrote to thank him for "helping my mummy" and other wounded and injured military heroes. This is just the most recent way Harry is giving back to the community. Aside from offering his condolences to the victims of the Manchester attack in an official statement, he also met up with former president Barack Obama on Saturday to talk about "a range of shared interests, including support for veterans, mental health, conservation, empowering young people,...

Michelle, 38, has a heart condition and was selected for the swimming and rowing teams.

This has been great fun so far, a nice blend of interesting story, familiar though slightly different literary characters, and a whole load of alternate universe world building. Hugely entertaining stuff. This series pretty much had me at Queen Victoria marrying Count Dracula. What’s not to love? I have been waiting though for the Council of the Seven Days, and specifically our heroine Kate Reed, to really develop into living, breathing characters. Up to now they have seemed more like ploy devices at times, albeit very enjoyable plot devices.
So where were we? Well, The Council was attacked by Count Dracula’s Grey Men. Most escaped, with the help of Fah Lo Suee and the criminal Limehouse Ring, though Monday and Thursday were captured. The Limehouse Ring want Kate to use her old friend Penelope Churchward to...

A character known as “The Boy” shows up and claims to be long-lost royalty in this week’s The White Princess, and no one — not even Patrick Gibson, the actor who plays him — knows whether he’s telling the truth.
If you’ve kept up with Starz’s historical drama, you know that Edward and Richard — the younger brothers of main character Lizzie, and heirs to the throne of England — went missing as children after their mother, Elizabeth of Woodville, sent them away in an attempt to keep them safe from vengeful Tudors.

Hosting the event were Game of Thrones Weapons Master Tommy Dunne (who has also worked on movies including Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan, Blood Diamond, & The Bourne Ultimatum to name but a few) and Stunt Coordinator Rowley Irlam (whose CV is just as impressive and includes Casino Royale, Captain America, Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, Skyfall, Captain Phillips and many more) who would be putting us through our paces using both the sword and the bow. The first issue of the Anno Dracula 1895 comic series, from the mind of Kim Newman, threw in enough ideas and concepts to fill a dozen issues of most other series. I say ‘new’, but the series grew out of Kim Newman’s Anno Dracula world he has been building through his novels. In what has become a familiar genre now, Newman creates his own fictional stories using real world people and events, but always with a twist. Queen Victoria marrying Count Dracula for example, or Jack the Ripper murdering prostitutes because they were actually vampires. A lot of clever ideas bobbing around gave me extremely high hopes for this 5 part series.
Very tough to give a complete summary of last issue if you missed it, but essentially Count Dracula has been in control of The British Empire for 10 years,...

Lucio Fulci, Frankenhooker and more in our round up of new horror Blu-rays and DVDs...
So, what’s your personal idea of hell? For this writer, it would almost certainly involve being chained down in the audience of an eternal live filming of Loose Women as Donald Trump waves a slice of tiger bread, forever just out of reach. Yours is likely to be similar, though it would have to be pretty grim indeed to come anywhere near Lucio Fulci’s 1981 career-best infernal vision and perhaps the definitive (obviously other than Little Nicky) cinematic depiction of eternal damnation, The Beyond.

Update: Two more sneak peaks have now been released and can be seen below.
Warner Bros. has whipped us into a frenzy for tomorrow’s new Wonder Woman trailer, doling out a second tiny sneak peek on Facebook. This snippet, which follows the first one released earlier this evening, expands on the film’s World War I London setting.
It shows a gloomy looking, misty London, with Wonder Woman describing it as ‘hideous’ as she passes under Tower Bridge. Now, Themyscira is a literal paradise, so she’s got high standards, but if she thinks the area around the Tower of London and the Thames is that bad I hope to God she never has to go to Croydon.
The rest of the trailer gives us a moody, desaturated glimpse at her using her powers in ‘man’s world,’ fighting soldiers in an office building and galloping through a forest...

Taboo’s lead character remains the frustrating blank space at the centre of an otherwise appealing show…
This review contains spoilers.
See related Bethesda explains why Doom 4 was scrapped
For weeks I’ve waited to see James Delaney on the back foot - to watch him put under enough pressure that he finally cracks and reveals the human being inside that inscrutable outer shell. Goodbye to that hope. If twelve hours of torture in the Tower of London doesn’t break Delaney, nothing will. Cuts and bruises aside, he remained as in-control and unreadable in the torturer’s chair as he’s been since he landed in London. In-control, unreadable and sadly, dull.

When you get Roger Corman and Vince Price together you tend to get a stylised horror film that is hard not to love. While Tower of London may not be their best collaboration, it is an interesting take on Shakespeare’s play of the nefarious King who killed his way to the top…
Corman’s film though is a more mix-and-match tale for Richard III which pulls in Macbeth and Hamlet to make the tale much more ghoulish. Featuring ghosts that haunt Vincent Price’s Richard of Gloucester it is very clear that Price relishes the prospect of taking on a Shakespearian role, but hams it up for all it is worth.

To celebrate the release of Tower of London – out Dual Format 13th Feb. 2017 – we are giving away a copy courtesy of Arrow Video!
Having made their mark on American horror cinema with three colourful adaptations of Edgar Allan Poe – The Fall of the House of Usher, Pit and the Pendulum and Tales of Terror – Vincent Price and director Roger Corman enjoyed a brief hiatus from the macabre author with Tower of London. Shot in black and white, the film was loosely based on the Universal horror picture of the same name as well as two Shakespeare plays: a dash of Macbeth and a dollop of Richard III.
Price plays Richard of Gloucester, brother to a dying king and eager to take his place on the throne. When he is overlooked in favour of their sibling, the Duke of Clarence, things take a murderous turn. Richard goes on a murderous rage,...

Though Vincent Price would eventually garner a well-deserved reputation as Hollywood’s preeminent bogeyman, it was only really with André De Toth’s House of Wax (1953) that the actor would become associated with all things sinister. In some sense the playful, nervously elegant Price was an odd successor to the horror film-maestro throne: he was a somewhat aristocratic psychotic who shared neither Boris Karloff’s cold and malevolent scowl nor Bela Lugosi’s distinctly unhinged madness or old-world exoticism.
His early film career started in a less pigeonholed manner: as a budding movie actor with a seven year contract for Universal Studios in the 1940s, the tall, elegant Price would appear in a number of semi-distinguished if modestly-budgeted romantic comedies and dramas. His contract with Universal was apparently non-exclusive, and his most memorable roles for the studio were his earliest. In a harbinger of things to come,...

Ben Affleck stopped by The Graham Norton Show this week, where he shared a hilarious story about his obliviousness to the British royal family. In the clip, the actor spoke of his stay in London while filming the upcoming Justice League movie over the Summer. "Despite going to Windsor Castle, Tower of London, and Buckingham Palace, we didn't see one royal," Ben said. For the record, we also know Ben took his daughter to the Harry Potter play, which is fantastic to say the least. Apparently, Ben did run into a couple royals, and in the least expected place. "When it was raining, I took my youngest to one of those kids' indoor play parks." As luck would have it, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were also playing there on that day. All Mariah Carey wants for Christmas is a diamond, lacy bra.
While Santa’s big day is still 64 sleeps away, that didn’t stop Mariah Carey and James Corden for getting into the holiday spirt on Friday â. as they filmed a “Carpool Karaoke” segment for Corden’s Late Late Show.
But though Corden, 38, wore and oversized green “ugly” holiday sweater for the car ride, Carey opted for something a little more sexy.
The Grammy winner turned up the heat in skin-tight jeans and a sexy Balmain red leather jacket â. zipped low to show off both her cleavage and her stunning bra.

A Tribute to King Kong takes place as part of the The St. Louis International Film Festival Sunday, Nov. 6 beginning at 6:00pm at Webster University’s Moore Auditorium. The first film screened will be the new documentary Long Live The King, which explores the enduring fascination with one of the biggest stars — both literally and figuratively — in Hollywood history: the mighty King Kong. Produced and directed by Frank Dietz and Trish Geiger, the creative team behind the award-winning “Beast Wishes,” the documentary devotes primary attention to the 1933 classic, celebrating the contributions of filmmakers Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack, stars Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong, and Bruce Cabot, writer Edgar Wallace, and especially stop-motion innovator Willis O’Brien. But Kong’s legacy is also fully detailed: the sequel “Son of Kong,” the cinematic kin “Mighty Joe Young,” the Dino DeLaurentis and Peter Jackson remakes, even the Japanese versions by Toho Studios.
