Emigre does not trade, rent, lease, or sell its mailing list or customer information. All information provided or collected will be held in strict confidence.
What information is collected?
We collect personal information that you provide to us when you sign up to receive catalogs or when you purchase products. You may be asked for your name, mailing address, billing address, email address, telephone number, and your password. If you are ordering a product as a gift for another person, you may be asked for that person’s name, mailing address, email address, and phone number in order to enable us to deliver the gift to the recipient. Credit card processing is done through our third-party provider Stripe.com. Emigre does not have access to or store credit card numbers, security code or expiration dates. Once an order has been authorized we do store the credit card type, and last four numbers of the credit card.
When you access and interact with our site and services, we may collect information about your visits in order to understand the frequency with which visitors visit various parts of our website. Your IP address may be saved when you login, place an order, agree to a license or download software. We may also use cookies and beacons, which allows our website to remember information about users. We use cookies for a variety of purposes in order to enhance the quality of our site, such as remembering the items in your shopping cart throughout a visit and between visits, to personalize your experience.
We give you the opportunity to opt-in to receive Emigre's print catalogs and email announcements in your account settings. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this site. We may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law, or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with the law or to protect the rights and safety of the public or property.
Security
Emigre complies with industry standard practices to maintain the security of information. All financial transactions on the website are conducted via secured transmissions. All stored passwords are hashed in accordance with industry standards. Emigre has implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers behind firewalls.

- Amazon Web Services - We use an encrypted S3 bucket to store encrypted database backups.
- Linode - Cloud server host.
- Mailchimp - Email promotions.
- Mailgun - Email receipts, password resets, upgrade notices.
- Melissa Data - USPS change of address service for US addresses.
- Rackspace - Cloud server host.
- Stripe - Credit card processor.
