CANNYON is the reimagined project of the Dreampop band Yellow Dudes (consisting of
Carlos Gil, Columba Benitez, Juan Martinez, Mario Alvarado, and Ramsés Cervantes). Who
through a group catharsis manage to reinvent themselves along with their sound, developing
a totally new and sophisticated style. They are returning with a fresh visual identity and
time-honored sound heading in a new direction.
CANNYON's sound travels between a mix of genres, ranging from Synth Pop, French Pop,
and Nu-Disco to R&B/Neo-Soul, creating a union and constant experimentation between
them. Seeking to dissolve the existing barriers; guided by the “genre-less/music first”
thought. Having as influences L'impératrice, Jungle, The Marías, Toro y Moi, Mk.Gee and
Free Nationals.
After stepping on stages such as House of Vans in CDMX and performing alongside projects
such as Fármacos, Young Tender, and Tipling Rock; They return to show a new facet that
expresses their musical and personal development over the last few years.
Between danceable beats, honest songs, and a warm atmosphere is how CANNYON
creates a consistent, fresh, and contemporary identity.
CANNYON seeks to let go of the past, live in the present, and look to the future.
