The band DOMSTüRMER around frontman Micky Nauber from Cologne was founded in 2006 and is one of the established music groups in the German and Cologne carnival. Their soundtrack tells stories with humor and emotion, mostly in dialect "Kölsch" and knows no genre boundaries. Their music is an invitation to turn up, dance, take a deep breath and pause for a moment.
Whether unplugged in a church or in the Lanxess Arena: the passionate musicians enjoy a reputation as an outstanding live band, stand for a powerful sound and feel equally at home with catchy tunes, lyrics with depth, wit and irony. Speaking of the arena: the DOMSTüRMER song "E Deil Vun Dir" has been the opening song for the live music event "Lachende Kölnarena" in the Lanxess Arena since 2020.
The album and concert video "Altes Pfandhaus Live" documents the band's wide musical range with groovy pieces, some singles arranged as a swing medley, Cologne anthems and, above all, songs that get under your skin. Incidentally, the final sound enhancement took place on rock legend Ozzy Osbourne's old mixing desk, adding a touch of British rock'n'roll history to the Cologne production.
The DOMSTüRMER are known for songs such as "Meine Liebe, Meine Stadt, Mein Verein", "Ohne Dom, Ohne Rhing, Ohne Sunnesching", "Janz Schön Kölle", "Happy Weekend", "Hollywood", Op De Jode Ahle Zigg", "Mir Sin Jekumme", "Zo Hus", "Mir Sin All Do“ and many more.
The ballad "Mir Zwei" (piano version) by DOMSTüRMER & Nadine Weyer was last released in August 2024. DOMSTüRMER and Nadine Weyer had already recorded this song as a duet eleven years earlier (released on the album "Stadt, Land, Fluss").
