Dedicated and focused on breaking the barriers between multiple genres, Southern California producer Geoff Boss, aka “STUCA”, pairs intense/aggressive sounds with atmospheric pads and melodies, bringing a brilliant balance to his music that many artists are unable to achieve. Boss has put all of his efforts these past few years into creating this industrial style and energy that has laid the foundation for what STUCA is and will become.
“I feel like one of my primary goals in music is to find a rough balance between those two senses.”
In 2018 STUCA saw his following grow from the destructive flips and edits as well as a couple of massive releases on bass music tastemaker label, Jadu Dala. His hit single “Split,” released on the imprint has been streamed over 300k times and received support from many well-known artists including Zeds Dead, Boombox Cartel, UZ, and Ekali.
2019 saw even more growth as STUCA came correct with releases on Wakaan, Never Say Die’s Black Label, and Jadu Dala as well as a handful of scorching self-released singles and flips. He began taking his live performance to venues across the country and even landed a spot at the super bowl of bass music, Lost Lands. The man himself, Excision, has really taken a liking as he’s been playing out a number of STUCA’s tracks recently.
2020 was primed for exponential growth before the global pandemic hit. While touring came to a screeching halt, STUCA kept the momentum with two EPs on NSD’s Black Label and a few singles including his debut release on Excision’s Subsidia, another debut on NGHTMRE and Slander’s Gud Vibrations, and a VIP of his hit track “Henny” for the OG fans on Jadu Dala. A light touring schedule consisting of only a few drive-in shows meant extra time in the studio in which he produced a handful of massive tunes ready for the return of live shows and festivals.
Highlights for 2021 already include another big release back where it all started over at Jadu Dala, a live stream set for Boombox Cartel’s ‘Cinco Mode’, a two-track EP on Never Say Die’s main label, and a power move over to United Talent Agency for booking. In the back half of the year, fans can expect massive live performances, huge and highly anticipated collaborations, and the first-ever line of STUCA merchandise.
This train shows no signs of slowing down so keep your eyes and ears on STUCA as he leads the industrial revolution of bass music.
