Lego and Nintendo are teaming up again for the launch of a product dedicated to retro game lovers: a set celebrating the Game Boy handheld console first marketed in April 1989. Making the announcement, without specific details about it, is a teaser accompanied by the caption ‘Build the classic Nintendo console in LEGO® format. Coming in October 2025' posted early last January on Nintendo Europe's official Instagram profile.

Recently, however, it was Falcon Brick Studios that published some anticipations on X and Instagram, revealing that the set, presumably identified by the code 72046, will be composed of 421 pieces and will be available for purchase from 1 October at a price of 59.99 dollars: a slightly higher list price compared to other sets already on the market, when compared to the total number of bricks.

Obviously, these are unofficial rumours announced by the leaker that may not correspond to what will actually be released. Undoubtedly, during the coming months, the two companies will unveil the debut of the set with technical specifications, images and a definitive launch date.
