Blackbird UX/UI improvements

This latest release includes updates to the core technologies and the Blackbird editor including support for a LUT (lookup table) video effect. This is of value for managing both input LUTs for specific colour profiles (e.g. camera LUTs for log colour spaces or colour space conversion) as well as look/style LUTs for visual appeal.

Lookup Table (LUT) Effect

LUTs provide an instant and professional way to achieve colour grades, ensuring all footage looks cohesive and visually appealing. They simplify the process of matching colours across different shots and cameras, saving valuable editing time. With real-time previews, users can experiment with various looks effortlessly, unlocking limitless creative potential empowering editors to deliver polished high-quality videos swiftly. This new feature is available for workflows where finishing is done within Blackbird since this effect is a real time edit/preview implementation within the editor and core technology. A selection of preloaded LUTs have been included in this effect for evaluation use for a selection of input and look LUTs.

With Blackbird video image effects, up to four can be used per clip/track of the sequence for combinations such as LUTs and other image effects (e.g. input LUT, look LUT, and RGB colour adjustment with crop).

The intensity of each LUT can also be set according to the requirements of the look to be applied. LUTs are particularly useful for correcting camera/device specific colour profiles as well as applying stylistic appearances to content.
