love the city, if you have never visited, I recommend taxi service, there is no Uber here. Also the food is great and the value way better than other places. I hired a cab driver for all my trips and he was OK with me texting him for pick ups and drop offs at the last minute. Not every cab driver has the flexibility. I also visited other cities for day trips.

Lots of beautiful places to see.
Lots of beautiful places to see. But, on my 2nd day I felt like I was stuck in North Korea. There were military men all over and they prohibited me from taking pictures or videos in a highly tourist section of the country. A local mentioned to me that nobody can talk bad about the countries government; if you are heard, you can be placed under arrest. We have to stop with Communism/Dictatorship! It’s the 21st century for crying out loud!

The local people in Managua are extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and natural, extremely clean and little to no preservatives. Almost everything we ate was produced in the country or the region (central america). Driving is a little hectic so if you happen to be walking always be attentive and walk defensively, pedestrians do not always have right of way here.

The days were hot and I wasn't able to walk as much as I would liked. The evenings were better to walk around in. The pollution from the vehicles can get bad during the rush hours and those busses are a killer!!

Managua is a beautiful city with many wonderful places to enjoy nature and delicious food. My favorite spots were Paseo Salvador Allende, Love Island, and Arbolario.
The transportation was easy and not expensive. I use the In Driver application. It works very well. most of the time.
Private Tours to other cities are easy to get for a very good price. I contacted La Lorita and I am very satisfied with them

It was a cultural wonder for me.
It was a cultural wonder for me. I got to see a few of the volcanos, surprised that one is active with smoke coming from it. Loved sampling the foods in Granada, tacos were different from what I've had before in the US, they were rolled & fried. Must try the plantain fritos with cabbage salad. Loved the views of the countryside & riding a horse as well as a caponera. For adventure seekers there is ziplining in Masaya and many cultural shows & exhibition all around.

Staff are very attentive and make everything they can to make your stay great. Fantastic Buffett breakfast with chefs cooking eggs any style. Very close to airport and they will help you organise transportation to/ from.
Huge swimming pool and very good size room with great AC. Would stay here again, it’s been the best hotel we’ve stayed in while in Nicaragua and the location is great.
Good business center with printer and great Wi-Fi. I had to take a call for work while staying here and facilities were great.
The hotel was kind enough to let us leave our bags 3 days prior to check-in. The hotel is just across the airport (2mins walk) and is perfect if you have an early morning flight to catch or arrive late night to Managua. The staff was friendly. The hotel also provided us pre-packed breakfast as we had to check out at 4.30am for our flights. They even provided a free shuttle as we had bags :) Definitely recommend this place
Great facilities (WiFi, air conditioning, TV etc), friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room, interesting and unique decoration and artwork in the hotel. Quiet and in a safe and convenient location within walking distance of the main city sights. Nice breakfast. Excellent value for money for a double room. One of the best hotels I have stayed at in Central America
