    Teimme kiertomatkan Muscatin ympärillä vuokra-autolla ja se on hyvä tapa siellä. Alueet ovat laajoja ja paikasta toiseen voi olla yllättävänkin pitkä matka. Paljon oli muuttunut, kun 20 vuotta aiemmin siellä kävin. Mutrahin alueesta eniten pidin edelleenkin. Erityisen hienoa Omanissa on se, että epäjärjestystä siellä ei ole. Ehkä osasyynä on se, että alkoholi tai päihteet ei kuulu elämään. Se on loistavaa ja kun ihmisiä, siis ihan tuntemattomiakin, osataan tervehtiä, niin tosi kiva.

    Muscat oli postiivinen yllätys. Kaupunki on melko rauhallinen, mutta kaikkialla on siistiä ja ihmiset ovat ystävällisiä. Suosittelen talvilomakohteeksi! Kaupunkia ei ole tehty jalankulkijoille ja ajoittain kävelytiet puuttuvat kokonaan tai loppuvat vain kesken. Taksilla liikkuminen on kuitenkin melko edullista ja helppoa.

    Pidin paljon upeista rakennuksista ja arkkitehtuurista, sekä luonnosta ja ihmisten ystävällisyydestä. Paikka oli myös turvallinen ja todella siisti ja tyylikäs. Välimatkat kuitenkin todella pitkiä, auto tai taksi piti olla alla, koska julkisia liikennevälineitä ei ole.

    Positiivinen yllätys sikäli, että hinta kohtuullinen ja huone tilava, sekä aamiainen ihan hyvä. Pyynnöstä hiljainen huone ja se todellakin oli hiljainen ylhäällä, mantereelle päin. Erittäin siistiä ja hyvin puhdistetut paikat paikalliseen tasoon nähden. Auton sai parkkiin hotellin takapihalle. Ehkä viikon reissun paras hinta-laatu -suhde, kun oltiin jokainen yö eri hotellissa.
