It was a great and pleasant experience just being in this hotel
Actually, this is more than just a hotel. The people understand each other and you as a community. Respect and care is written in capital letters here and I have rarely seen people treating their customers as warm-hearted as a family member.
I have been in numerous hotels and other accommodations, NY, buenos aires, dubai, LA, spain, italy, germany, france, turkey, .... this one was the best i ever stayed in!
When you arrive, they sit you down on a couch and bring you a refreshing cinnamon drink and fresh fruits, ask you how your journey was. They make everything as uncomplicated for you as possible.
The rooms are quite big, the AC is good, we had a balcony and the shower is a rain shower which was very pleasant as well. Had everything one can need.
Whenever you go in or out, the people have a smile for you and give you a generous positive vibe, really the best service I ever experienced anywhere. They really care about you having a good time there.
The hotel has own tuktuk drivers, which is very convenient. We used it several times to get into the siem reap and even did an individual angkor wat tour with Mr. T, a very friendly driver taking us to the next temple and waiting for us as long as we wanted to stay there. He even brought water for us and nice spots with sceneric views which he recommend to us.
The restaurant has great food, the standard of the kitchen is pretty high. We always took breakfast here and sometimes dined here, even though I wanted to eat outside as often as possible because i cant miss experiencing the local cuisine. I had a sour chicken soup with morning glory here, that was amazing! They also have lots of western food.

The town is a nice size and not too big, fairly clean and easy to walk around the centre with great choice of shops and eating options. Even found gluten free food was available, unlike in some other cities. Enjoyed the mix of architecture and colors.
The tour to the temples was comprehensive in scope and history, but involves a fair bit of walking, so be prepared for this. The guide we had with the shared tour was very knowledgeable.

We thought 3 days would be plenty to see the temples and move on. Pleasantly surprised by the extra activities in the area. We could have easily spent another 3/4 days there and been satisfied. Highly recommend
Special mention to Noodle bar by the hotel, pub street and the atmosphere, tuktuk driver for the day to see temples essential but recommend going back over 2 or 3 days as we tried to see too much in one. If you enjoy manifold you have to go to the one venue in town. Amazing course!!

The taxes levied were something of a surprise - the temple tours and entry fees were more than anticipated. The Communist dictatorship was hated by all local people - who are articulate and aware of political shortcomings in this country.

Many great eating venues close by to the hotel, walking distance to surrounding streets and very convenient for Angkor Wat. Walking was our main way of getting around however the Tuk Tuk's were great when we were a bit tired and hot and we found a great driver that we used a number of times. Locals were all very friendly and helpful and appreciated our attempts to speak Khmer and willing to help us with pronunciation. As very privileged visitors we tried to support the small local businesses whenever possible. On occasion we did tip however this was not expected. There are some hidden gems including smallish art galleries that support local artists (including children), specific shops with Cambodian made clothes, jewellery etc. with profits going back to the community. Eating down by the river, sampling the street food and being invited to the home of a family who lived in a more rural area was very special. That and the visit to Angkor Wat and 3 other temples with a local Tuk Tuk driver were the best days.

There is a bunch of things that you are able to make around the city. Angkor National Museum, botanical garden, small temples, possibility of travel to other places and cities and mostly great people around. A lot of places where you can eat all sorts of meals, bunch of supermarkets with visa cards payments and lots of atm machines and banks. You can easily rent a bike or motorbike but be prepared for the traffic on the road. I would say it is a very organized city and you are able to easily travel by foot. It is a great city to stay during your visit of Angkor Wat complex. Be prepared for tuk-tuk drivers.

Friendly people, great food and great value accommodation.
Friendly people, great food and great value accommodation. We met the BEST tuktuk driver who helped us plan our whole week here doing all of the historic sites (as many as we could fit in a week!) and our kids absolutely loved him. Staff everywhere were so kind and helpful.
Getting a tuktuk to most temples was great option (we were 3 adults and 3 kids under 10) and it was fun and cheap. Beware of children selling goods - they don't want tourists to support this side of street selling. Also be prepared for hustlers - they are a lot more persistent than Thailand! We will absolutely be back to Siem Reap to see and do more. It was a beautiful place with beautiful people and amazing nature and history. Recommend all the temples (monkeys and lizards were cool for kids too) plus the waterfall and walks up Kulen Mountain Park. Tonle Sap Lake and floating village is also amazing and worth seeing.

Wonderful hotel. And just a 2 minute walk from the town, 5 minutes from the centre. Great pool (cool enough to get relief from this hot weather). Gorgeous rooms with excellent housekeeping. Good breakfast. Great customer service from the staff. They helped us organise our sunrise Angkor Wat trip and other trips. I recommend using their driver and guide. So good, we extended our stay 3 times! We've been travelling South East Asia for 4 months and stayed in 36 accomodations so far, ranging from budget to luxury. This is the best one.
The hotel is super good, one of the best we stayed in our Vietnam-Cambodia trip.
The facilities are amazing, clean and very comfortable. But the best thing is the owner. He will help with anything you need, propose to you all kinds of activities and places to visit, and give you tea and fruit every time you arrive after visiting things (temples of course).
I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Siem Reap. I do not thing you can find a better place with a better staff.
Anjali is a superb hotel close to Angkor Wat. Clean, luxurious and great staff. They also have a very good restaurant. No reason to be ripped off at the tourist trap eateries downtown in Siem Reap. still a bit Covid-aftermath with few other guests and a closed bar when we were there. We travelts Cambodia for three weeks and stayed only at 4-star hotels. Anjali was the best of them all.
The location was convenient and easy to access. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the service was incredibly fast and professional. The pool was a fantastic place to relax, and the spa provided some of the best massages we've ever had. The bed was very good. The dining options were superb, every meal was delicious. This is hands down one of the best hotels in Siem Reap!
