Home2 Suites By Hilton Chicago River North, hotel in Chicago

Well situated in Chicago, Home2 Suites By Hilton Chicago River North has air-conditioned rooms, a fitness center, free WiFi and a shared lounge.

Good afternoon. HOME2 is one of the easiest hotels I have ever stayed at. On the first day of check-in, and I chose a king room, I was put in a room with a very strong smell of chlorine (most likely they had just cleaned the room). I tried to open the window, but it was blocked. I asked to open a personal window - but they told me that the windows in the hotel do not open. It was very cold in my room, the heater closed with a delay. As a result, I slept in the cold for two nights, the staff could not do anything, since the system was programmed that way. Why did you decide that I would be comfortable sleeping at a temperature of 20 degrees? I asked the staff to give me an additional heater or refund the money for the hotel. They refused to give me a heater. A technical support employee came to help me, he gave me his left heater. As a result, I got sick and came down with a fever. I spent Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve in bed in your hotel. Thank you for such a gift. Also, the refrigerator in my room didn't work and no one repaired it for 14 days. I talked about it almost every other day. It's just awful. It's the first time I've encountered such a terrible hotel in America and with such a big name as Hilton.

FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

There is lots to do in Chicago. Many museums.

There is lots to do in Chicago. Many museums. Especially good are the Aquarium, the Field Museum, the Art Institute, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. The Surgery Museum was good if you have an interest in that. The Museum of Science and Industry is outdated and ho-hum. The Sky Deck of the Willis Towers was good for the view but overly expensive and the immersive museum (on your way) contained little hard information. You could not go outdoors from the Sky Deck--only look through glass. We were there on a weekend--traffic was sparse but subway trains infrequent. Use SpotHero to find parking ramps with better rates (but we found it hard to use).

Chicago is a city that captivates at first sight!

Chicago is a city that captivates at first sight! The unique blend of modern architecture, rich history, and stunning natural beauty makes it one of the most fascinating cities I’ve ever visited. The first thing that stands out is the magnificent skyline, where skyscrapers like the Willis Tower and the John Hancock Center create an unforgettable metropolitan vibe. A walk along the Chicago River or the famous Michigan Avenue leaves lasting impressions. The city is full of cultural attractions: from the Art Institute of Chicago with its outstanding collection to the Field Museum of Natural History. Millennium Park and the iconic "Cloud Gate" (affectionately known as "The Bean") are perfect spots for a stroll and memorable photos. The culinary scene in Chicago is another highlight. Deep-dish pizza is an absolute must-try, and the variety of restaurants can satisfy any taste. Chicago also delights with its friendly atmosphere and vibrant city life. In the summer, there are festivals, and in the winter, ice skating rinks and cozy Christmas markets. This city left a bright impression on me, and I will definitely return to enjoy its unique charm again!

    Chicago is wonderful.

Chicago is wonderful. The Loop and Mile have so many great attractions, there's literally no way to see them all. The local specialty shops in the Loop are my family's favorites. The art institute is an all day affair (definitely ask how to get to the 3rd floor). Some time shopping in and around State Street with some time for The Bean and the park is a day well spent. Take your time on foot to see it all!

Chicago at christmas downtown is magical.

Chicago at christmas downtown is magical. Iceskating, holiday lights, skip christkindle market way to small of a area for the size of visitors, long lines, shoulder to shoulder squeeze the entire time. Book your Iceskating way in advice online it fills up quickly, take a quick Uber to John Hancock observation and shop at the water tower, cheesecake factory, American Girl, Lego store, beautiful christmas lights all over, live street music 🎶 coffee house on each corner to stay warm, the bean by the big tree, theaters and shows, only thing Chicago is missing the horse and carriage rides like they used to have in the past. Window displays also not like they used to be. Overall still a great place to visit even in the cold, bundle up visit Chicago at Christmas and New Year's, don't forget Christmas around the world display at Museum of Science and Industry on the south side of Chicago.

This was my first ever visit to Chicago. Hotel location was great – right in the hart of downtown with beautiful river view. From this hotel I walked city centre back and forth, but in case you do not like walking, metro and Metra train station is very close to the hotel. Hotel and room qualities are very good (I booked room with river view). That hotel met all my expectation and I have already made another booking there for August to stay with my family

Location is great in downtown Chicago. Grand station on the red line is only a couple of minutes walk away; the river is about 5 minutes and the Navy Pier is about 20 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel has a lovely swimming pool on the 17th floor that is open long hours (6am-10pm). I was fortunate to have a room on that floor and so I made good use of it. I never had to wait long for the lifts.
