[UPDATE: It's fixed now.]
Anyways, Bandai Entertainment has finally stop hitting the snooze button on that alarm clock of theirs and that have finally brought us one of, if not the greatest Anime of this decade, into a complete First Season collection.(The First 25 Episodes. Does Not Include R2)
This Anime truly deserves the royal treatment when it comes to releases, so I'm hoping they edit those letters that say "DVD" and change them to "Blu-ray". Anyways, If you still have not yet witnessed the intense action, excellent character and superb story of this Anime then wait no longer and see what everyone has been talking about.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2020The product is exactly as described, it contains the full Code Geass series.
There are many discs packed tightly in one single Bluray case, so you need to be very careful when handling it so as not to scratch any of them.
It has the original Japanese voices on it as well as the English dub, so you get to choose in which language you want to listen to. Personally I prefer the Japanese voice actors a bit more but, one downside to it is that the English dub is selected by default on my player. I have to manually pause the video as soon as I open it on each new episode and manually switch the audio channel to the Japanese audio and activate the English subtitles (I watch it on the PC).
Absolutely stunning series. Plot is amazing in season 1, semi-decent in season 2 and the ending is stellar. It has the most memorable anime ending, in my opinion. Perfect closing to a perfect story.
It has mecha battles, amazing characters, character growth and many plot twists on each and every turn. The world building takes its time but you really get to grow into their Universe, slowly and become attached even to some of the characters.
There are only a couple of episodes which I personally find boring. Those are the high school ones in which the characters have to interact in the usual high school setting but, with that said, it's simply just high school comedy with very little romcom elements in it. It doesn't really match the feel of the series in my opinion but you can count those episodes on one hand only so it's not much (in a 24+ episode series, it's really not that much).
All in all, great product!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2012Wow. There is so much to say about this series, I don't even know where to start!
Perhaps the best thing about it is that it combined the minds of Bandai, a video game company that brought us great titles, like .Hack and Gundam, and the artists of CLAMP in a wonderfully complex story about love, revenge, war, life, and the choices that drive our futures.
The art is amazing, and I was surprised to find that I didn't even mind the obvious addition of Mecha. (I normally dislike Mecha, because writers often sacrifice plot for fighting-robot scenes.) I am glad to say that this is not the case with Code Geass.
For me, watching this series was an experience. It is fascinating to watch these multi-layered characters making decisions that will shape the futures of these around them--and to think, they are still in high school! These characters have great depth, and the plot reflects their interactions well. I enjoyed seeing the motivations for each come to light little by little, and how observing those motivations made others react to the charismatic characters of Zero/Lelouch Vi Britannia and Kururuugi Suzaku.
The end of this great series leaves you with more questions than it answers, but the openness to its interpretation fits perfectly with the rest of the series. And it incorporates Mecha, School-Life, Love stories, Revenge, War, Politics, Magic and several other genres so it will appeal to a wider audience.
This is a very reflective play, forcing the watchers to delve deeper into what makes us 'human', and brings to light many of those deeper questions that most people try to avoid.
In short, this is entirely brilliant, right up there with Alexander Senki/Reign the Conqueror as far as thinking goes.
I would recommend this to anyone who has reached their majority, and wishes to enjoy something grand!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2024I bought this, found out it was faulty, returned it for a refund, bought it again, and the second copy had the same flaw. In both cases, disc 2 was unplayable.
Probably a bad batch. But I'd say avoid the UK import of this series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gran serie.

5.0 out of 5 stars An iconic anime series with a memorable cast of characters!
Code Geass is such an iconic anime with a memorable cast of characters, and is one of my brother's favourite anime series, so I had to get the DVD set for his birthday.
As a child, Lelouch Lamperouge witnessed the death of his mother and became determined to find out why such an event occured. Years later, he meets a mysterious girl named C.C. who blesses him with a power called Geass. Now he intends to use this gift to change the world. The set contains all the episodes from the first series

5.0 out of 5 stars Could not possibly be happier!
I bought from Amazon UK, a Region B printing of the series.
For years Code Geass has been completely unavailable here in Australia without the use of a VPN or resorting to DVD or overpriced Blu-Ray on the secondary market so to find a more recent release in a region code I could use was nothing short of a miracle.
It works flawlessly and comes in a beautiful slipcover.
